Come experience this incredible “get away” on pristine Deer Lake, “The Lake of Changing Colors.” The turquoise water makes you feel like you’re in the Caribbean. The Cottage features a one level floor plan including one bedroom, one full bathroom, full kitchen, full laundry and spacious living/dining area.

The cottage is just 75 feet from the water, offers stunning views. The upper level deck creates a magnificent, bird’s eye view of Battleship Island and the surrounding lake while the lower spacious deck provides the perfect setting for picnics. The hard-sand lake bottom offers excellent swimming and water sports area.

Deer Lake is known for world class muskie, bass, and walleye fishing. In the miles of state land you will find excellent bird hunting(pheasant and grouse) and white tail deer. There are four golf courses within 30 minutes and Suomi Hills, known for outstanding hiking and cross country skiing, is only a 10 minute drive. Other winter activities include ice fishing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling.

This is the perfect place to spend your own private retreat!

Wonderful Artistic Carpentry Throughout

This is a beautifully hand crafted cabin. It is apparent this cabin was finished by an artist. Each piece of wood work and flooring shows master skills and creativity. A great lake with perfectly clear water, too!

Grand Rapids and Deer River are nearby for restaurants and shopping. Great location.

Great Cabin and Location for Couple or Small Family

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our week at this cabin. First, Deer Lake is one of the premier lakes in the Grand Rapids area. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on and in the lake. The scenery and views are spectacular. Second, the cabin exceeded our expectations. It was spotless, well maintained, well furnished and featured some exceptional woodwork. The kitchen had new appliances and was also thoughtfully furnished. Wi-fi and TV, though not essential for this kind of vacation, were appreciated and much used. We have already reserved the same week again for next year. I highly recommend it for a couple or small family.
