Set in a perfect location, half an hour from Pisa airport, the hamlet is set on a hilltop in the Valdera region of Tuscany, in the heart of the Pisa wine route and close to the classic Chianti wine area. Steeped in history, art & culture, within easy reach of the many renaissance treasures, caffé's and chic boutiques of Florence and Siena. Near to Puccini's home land Lucca and Lake Massaciccuoli where the summer open air operas are performed to the delight of opera lovers just 40/50 minutes away by car. The Roman ruins of Volterra are 35 min. away and the famous towers of San Gimigniano. To the south west you can reach the coast of Livorno and take the ferry to the island of Elba and travelling north you can reach the beaches of Versilia, such as Forte Dei Marmi or Viareggio. Alternatively you can go walking, trekking or hiking in the Apuan Alps in the summer and skiing in the winter months. For total relaxation you may just wish just to enjoy the ambiance and facilities of the hamlet.
