Once a castle, then a working farm that won many acolades for its olive oil. Today is a listed building and thanks to the meticulous renovation that the hamlet has received the farm buildings are now luxury self catering apartments in this time lost idyllic setting. There are various types of apartments from 1, 2 bedrooms and studio apartments, with sofa beds to accommodate additional guests. The perfect solution for any size of group. Inside the hamlet there is a high quality restaurant with great alla carte menu and selection of wines. For the more casual eating the once wine cellar is a tastefully converted Enoteca. Enjoying an apertif, wine tasting or try out the traditional Tuscan cuisine and take in the ambiance of th courtyard and grounds. A perfect location for exploring Tuscany, close to Pisa, Florence, Siena, Volterra, San Miniato..

The barns, stable block and granaries of this listed building today have all been converted into unique studio, 1 and 2 bedroom apartments. Some of which have small private gardens and some are attic style studio apartments. The original Tuscan style and features of the building have been maintained, such as, the exposed wooden beams and terracotta floors. All the apartments are finished with similar high quality standard classic Tuscan fixtures and furnishings, top quality bathrooms areas and modern facilities. They all have air conditioning, satellite TV (CNN, BBC, Sky News) & DVD player. Each apartment has a modern kitchenette fully equipped with microwave oven, fridge, freezer, electric cooking hobs and kettle, in order giving the added flexibility of a self-catering. For those who do not wish to self cater there is the Enoteca and the restaurant within the hamlet premises, or a variety of restaurants and trattoria's in vicinity that cater to different pallets and prices range.

Set in a perfect location, half an hour from Pisa airport, the hamlet is set on a hilltop in the Valdera region of Tuscany, in the heart of the Pisa wine route and close to the classic Chianti wine area. Steeped in history, art & culture, within easy reach of the many renaissance treasures, caffé's and chic boutiques of Florence and Siena. Near to Puccini's home land Lucca and Lake Massaciccuoli where the summer open air operas are performed to the delight of opera lovers just 40/50 minutes away by car. The Roman ruins of Volterra are 35 min. away and the famous towers of San Gimigniano. To the south west you can reach the coast of Livorno and take the ferry to the island of Elba and travelling north you can reach the beaches of Versilia, such as Forte Dei Marmi or Viareggio. Alternatively you can go walking, trekking or hiking in the Apuan Alps in the summer and skiing in the winter months. For total relaxation you may just wish just to enjoy the ambiance and facilities of the hamlet.
