Monte Argentario is connected to the mainland by two natural Feniglia and Giannella. These tombolos offer you miles of sandy beaches where you may swim, dive or wind surf. Monte Argentario has nature reserves, pinewood forests, vineyards, olive groves, picturesque towns, medieval villages perched on hilltops, Etruscan and Roman ruins. Porto Santo Stefano, where the villa is near by, is situated in a picturesque bay offering you a large variety of restaurants, boutiques and shops. The port is divided into old and new port, and it is the heart of the touristic and fishing boat activities, and from here the ferries connect the promontory to the islands of Giglio and Giannutrin. If you decide to explore the area you can go to the Tuscan Maremma, Isola Elba, drive or catch a train to Rome, go to the Termal Bath Saturnia, a spa resort with its hot sulphur swimming pools, Pisa, Pitigliano, San Gimigliano, Florence etc..all these excursions can take a day trip.

Additional information about rental rates

  • - We require a 50% deposit on booking followed by 50% 8 weeks before departure and a Euro 800 security deposit.
    - The security deposit will be used for the telephone bill and any damages will be deducted.
    -Towels, pool towels and linen are included and will be changed weekly. The house and pool are cleaned weekly.
    - Included in the price is electricity and water.
    - Heating in the winter is an extra cost.
  • Next door to the villa is the Dependence which sleeps 4 people. Two bedrooms, one shower room, sitting room and kitchen. Dependence can only be rented with the villa. Cost per week is an extra €1,000.
  • Gas Central heating is charged separately at €1,20 a litre. Average heating costs for 8hrs per day is aprox. €60/70
    The swimming pool is opened on May 1st and closed on October 1st.

This house was better than in the pictures. Beautiful gardens, lawn, pool with view of the sea and great poolside bar. House is tastefully decorated, cozy and chic - the owner provided restaurant recommendations in the nearby port towns but we loved the house so much we bought fresh fish at the markets and cooked outdoors most nights. Rented a boat in Santo Stefano for a day on the sea, weather is beautiful and the place is very relaxing. The whole coast is gorgeous and close to Rome. A real gem and great vacation!
