A lovely 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom self catering apartment is in the ideal place for you to experience Cape Town. It's a chic and historic part of the city where some of the properties date back centuries and have been sensitively restored so that none of the magic is lost. The apartment itself a spacious lounge and kitchen area and a patio from where there's a stunning view if the iconic Table Mountain. And when it gets too hot you can cool down in the pool . At night the area is a magnet for Cape Town's trendy set. They spill onto the pavement at Cubana's (attracting the young and hip) and Manhattan's (a popular bar with live entertainment twice a week). For the night owls the Bronx Club (Gay) on Somerset Road (again walking distance) stays open till dawn. During the day there's an endless list of things to do: Table Mountain, Robben Island and winelands of Franschhoek or spend a day at the beach. Green Point stadium 10 mins walk away so ideal for the Football World Cup 2010!

There is so much to do you'll have to return. For this visit here are some ideas: Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was in prison. Table Mountain, Cape Point (the most southerly point of the African continent), Hermanus for whale watching and Penguins on Boulders Beach. For cocktails go and watch the sun set on Camps Bay (the African Riviera) and also experience great seafood. For the Winelands (book a picnic and eat surrounded by stunning scenery). Visit a Township to get the whole story on Cape Town or shop at the V&A or Canal Walk. Other activities include Helicopter rides, Shark Diving, Golfing, and Surfing. In the Evening why not dine at some of the world's best restaurants; we recommend Five Flies - modern cuisine in a fabulous building, Tokara's - in the Winelands, Bukhara's - probably one of the best Indian restaurants in the world; Cafe Manhattan for great steaks and burgers.   • All rentals must be for a minimum period of 4 nights paid in advance via bank transfer or PayPal or Moneygram
    For all bookings full payment to be made at time of booking and an apartment security deposit which is refundable of UK£200 will be required.

  • Maximum occupancy is 4 people at any time.
    Check - In is normally 3PM and Check - Out is 11AM. If require more flexibility please ask and we will try and accommodate where we can.
    Half day rates available on request.The owners take no responsibility for any financial or personal loss or injury as a result of staying. It's always a great idea to have personal travel insurance.
    Should you need to cancel then you must write and get confirmation from the owner or agent handling this booking.
    Cancellations;
    More than 30 days: full refund less £100 administration cost
    Between 15 and 30 days: 75% refund or £100 whichever is the greater.
    Between 0 and 15 days: No refund except the security deposit of £300
  • If your world cup requested dates are full then please email me and I may be able to recommend other properties in the local area.

Notes: The patio is great for breakfast and for watching Table Mountain or for a pre-dinner cocktail and there's furniture specially for the patio. The pool in the complex is available and is a quiet oasis to read or listen to your iPod. The garden is a great place to top up your tan and for the kids to play and swim. The apartment complex is very secure with regular security patrols. Smoking is allowed but we would prefer that smokers smoke on the patio. How to get there?: Cape Town has a great international airport and most of the world's big airlines fly there. For direct flights from the UK, British Airways, South African Airways and Virgin Atlantic have up to two flights a day. Most of the national European carriers also fly direct eg KLM and Lufthansa and there are flights from the US with Delta and South African Airways. Low cost routes via the Middle East may also be an option. If you can't get a direct flight then you could fly to Johannesburg and connect with a no frills carrier like Kulula.com or mango.com to Cape Town. The apartment is 30 minutes in a taxi from the airport. Or you can quite easily pick up a rental car at the airport and drive into town. The roads are great and it's a left-hand drive country like the UK.

Can Airport Transfers be arranged? : Yes. Please give me your flight details and arrangements for transfers from the airport for a nominal fee will be arranged.

How do I get Keys?: My Agent will meet you at the apartment on your date of arrival and will also meet you on your departure date. Please let me know when you are intending to arrive.

This was our first foray into renting an apartment. We usually stay in hotels, but decided to do something different this time and we were pleasantly surprised.
There is security in the Waterkant area, so our cars, etc. were safe parked on the street.
The apartment is wonderfully located and is just off some of the main streets. You can easily get to the highways and sights in and around Cape Town.
The caretaker was very helpful with information about the Cape Town area and had a pamphlet on just about every sight and attraction.
I would definitely recommend and will be recommending this property to friends as we know some that will be traveling to South Africa for the World Cup 2010.
