Located only 15 minutes from Lunenburg (UNESCO World Heritage Town) and a 1.5 hour drive from Halifax International Airport.The Back Shore is one of the most spectacular, unspoiled sites in Nova Scotia. This very secluded 30-acre location at Moshers Beach is cradled by surrounding pastoral hills, with extensive walking trails, access and ocean views to Gaff Point Nature Trust and Hirtles Beach. Built on what was once the 400-year old ruins of an abandoned village, this environmentally sensitive enclave focuses on the undisturbed beauty of the South Shore.
Designed for honeymoon couples or a family of four or five, each of the oceanfront cottages offer a rustic elegance with style, comfort and unparalleled views.As with all the details, the craftsmanship is superb from the floors to the cathedral ceilings. Built-in cabinetry curves and bends around 50-feet of 7-foot tall windows, custom tile and maple floors. Each cottage is approximately 800 + sq.ft. with two (2) private decks, wood stove, fully equipped kitchen, dining area, living bay, two private bedrooms and luxurious bath.Individual or multiple cottages can be rented on a weekly basis.
The studio and the historic octagonal barn can be rented for events and are ideal for art workshops, weddings, equestrian vacations, family reunions or corporate retreats. The entire site can also be rented offering the solitude of a 'lost village at the end of the earth'.

The crashing surf and abundance of wildlife are right out the front door. This is also a convenient location for groceries, shopping, antiques, artisans, crafts, farm markets, historic churches and museums, biking, charter boat sailing, kayak and canoe rentals, golf course, fine dining and casual restaurants.Each of the four cottages offers an open second floor loft with a queen bed and a bedroom with two twin beds on the main floor. Two additional overflow sleeping places exist on the living room raised plinth. The Hirtles unit has one bathroom with shower on the main floor and ensuite bath with tub upstairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, cook-top, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. The loft bedroom as a private deck with views of the land the sea. In addition, every cottage has a large deck off the living area facing the sea off to the Southwest. Cottages also include DVD/TV, telephone and wireless Internet.
