This private, secure and lushly landscaped compound was built in 1855 for the local plantation owners daughter. The compound consists of the main home, which we live in, and three additional detached units located down a long cobblestone, gated driveway that allows guests to come and go privately. The Servants Quarter unit is our largest with one bedroom, full bathroom, full kitchen and multiple French Doors that open on to the deck and balcony. The New Orleans style yard has very established gardens, a sparkling in ground pool, and numerous fountains and patio areas. Your hosts pride themselves on giving their guests the privacy they desire while still being accessible to answer questions or give recommendations. We strive to provide a relaxing and romantic home away from home that you will want to visit every time you come to New Orleans. No Indoor smoking, no pets and no children.

The Servants Quarters is a two story unit with a living room and full kitchen downstairs and private bedroom and large full bathroom upstairs. The upstairs private bedroom has a queen size bed and french doors that open on to the private balcony with views of the lush gardens and cobblestone driveway. The unit is fully equipped with all amenities necessary to ensure a carefree stay.

Perfect stay in NOLA

My wife and I usually stay at a hotel close to the dome for Saints games, but this time we decided to go with a condo type stay. We will be back if Jeff and Marie will have us. They have the best little spot right off the back of their house, we were never bothered, and they provided everything we needed. They were the best hosts and provided local info with a map. The place was well furnished and clean with no problems during our stay. The small library that is down stairs has a nice selection of books and magazines to read. If you do stay look through the book, "Furry Logic", great inspiration quotes with animal pictures, hilarious! We hope their calendar will be open for our next stay in NOLA, thanks Jeff and Marie for a perfect stay. WHO DAT?

Fantastic in every way

I can't begin to express how wonderful Jeff and Marie's place is. Let's start with location. It's on a very quiet street and is about a 10 minute walk to get to the French Quarter. So you can leave the craziness behind when you come home because it's absolutely peaceful and tranquil here. The place itself is spacious, very well stocked with whatever you may need, and it's spotless. If there is anything you may want that isn't there, Jeff goes out of his way to get it for you. He has a wonderful binder full of local restaurant info/maps, etc. Jeff is always available for questions and is so accommodating. We had a wonderful time in the French Quarter and Frenchmen Street areas. The food in New Orleans is to die for. We sampled as many restaurants as we could while we were there, and still weren't able to hit all the ones we wanted to. So we will be returning here without a doubt. And while there are countless hotels we could stay at, our first choice will be to stay here again at Jeff's place.

New Orleans Best Kept Secret

This property is a wonderfully appointed one bedroom, two level apartment with additional sleeping on an extremely comfortable futon in the living room. The fully functional kitchen was stocked with fruits, beverages and breakfast items by the owners (Marie & Jeff), whose restaurant recommendations were only surpassed by their friendliness and hospitality. Located on the outer edge of the French Quarter, this quiet neighborhood was only a moderate walk to all of the hustle and bustle of Bourbon Street. The pool was an extra added attraction that I availed myself of a couple of times each day. Add the fragrant and abundant plants, trees and shrubs to the mix ,and the result is a down home plantation-like atmosphere that beckons you stay-on. Needless to say, the accomodations for my next trip to the Big Easy are already decided. Thank you Marie & Jeff!

Charming, Comfortable, Clean

My father and I stayed here during a four night trip to the NCAA Final Four in New Orleans. I requested information after viewing their ad on Homeaway.com and within only a couple hours, I received a response from Jeff, the owner. He provided a very fair rate compared to several other places we looked into. We did not arrive until very late on a Friday night and Jeff stayed up to let us in and help us get acclimated, suggesting restaurants and other activities in the area. Right off the bat, we knew we found a great place to stay. We stayed in the Servant's Quarters, which is attached to Jeff and Marie's home, but has it's own entrance and a private balcony on the second floor. It was very clean and beautifully-decorated, and suited our purposes quite well. My father stayed in the bedroom and I slept in the living room, which contained a very comfortable futon.
The house is within a few blocks of the French Quarter - close enough that it was a short walk, but far enough away that we could get away from the noise and hustle and bustle of the continuous party environment on Bourbon Street.
Jeff and Marie provided wonderful hospitality, including fruits, breakfast foods and a reasonably stocked refrigerator with water, juice, soda and beer. In addition, there were plenty of clean linens for our stay. The property contained a private courtyard with a garden and a swimming pool, which was open for our use whenever we wanted.
All in all, I would definitely stay here again the next time I head down to New Orleans. Jeff and Marie were great hosts, giving us the perfect mix of attention and privacy.
