Location, location, location! This renovated El Porto beach house is the perfect choice for your beach vacation. Relax on the front porch swing and watch the ocean waves roll in! There are two fully furnished one bedroom units available to rent. The house was completely renovated in 2011 and maintains the charm of the original beach house with modern amenities and design. Each unit consists of one bedroom with a new queen bed and hardwood floors. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a separate dining area. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room which will comfortably sleep two adults. There is a separate shared laundry room which includes a full size washer and dryer for your use as well as unlimited free wifi and cable TV with free movie channels. There is also a large outdoor patio area with dining for four and a new gas BBQ. This is a rare commodity with a unit so close to the beach! We've also included beach cruiser bicycles, beach chairs and boogie boards for your enjoyment. There are plenty of dining choices within walking distance so if you don't feel like cooking, head up to Highland Avenue to grab a bite to eat. This is our family beach house. We live most of the year in the cold climate of Toronto, Canada but we make our way down to Manhattan Beach as often as we can.

We really enjoyed our 2nd stay at this rental home in Manhattan Beach! And here’s what I really liked & appreciated about the home & the benefits of staying there: It’s in a great neighborhood; friendly neighbors, just felt “safe” there. A major convenience: You have a place to park! Don’t have to go find a parking spot on the street. That’s a plus, especially when you’re coming in late @ 2am!! The location is great b/c it’s a block from the beach, the Strand & the bike path!! What more could you ask for! Luv the “Strand” for walking, getting exercise & enjoying the ocean view… taking photos of beautiful sunsets.....
Our daughter did comparison price shopping for a rental in the area. This home was the best: their rates are fair, the same as their competition EXCEPT the competition does not have a private patio! We enjoyed several meals out there. Another convenience is: the washer & dryer in the laundry room is right next to the kitchen. The owners provide bikes for cruising on the bike path, very thoughtful! My husband & I also enjoyed the swing on the front porch!
If you’ve never been, Manhattan Beach is the best! You’d never know it was in L.A. It’s a sweet community & very convenient w/lots of restaurants & a stone’s throw for L.A. airport. The owner is really nice, easy to work with. This 1 bedroom home works perfectly for the 2 of us & that’s where we’ll stay on our next trip to L.A!!!
Our family's week-long stay at this property in Manhattan Beach exceeded our expectations and we hope to return again. The proximity to LAX airport and several F1000 companies like Boeing, IBM, etc will make it one of my top options next time I'm in the area on business.
Clean, bright, and beautifully furnished, the apartment we rented gave our family enough room to relax, eat-in, and rest in comfort. WiFi was fast and easy. The short walk to the beach made the sunsets a magnet for us to visit every evening. The beach chairs and bikes were included and gave us a chance to explore the area in different ways. The variety of breakfast restaurants just a few short blocks away gave us something new to try each morning. Manhattan Beach was lovely, modern, walkable, and easy to explore. The property was ideal for our local outings to the ocean, shops, restaurants, and even day trips to LA and San Diego. We loved the decor. The provided linens and towels made packing simple for this trip, and the laundry room was reliable and easy.
I'd recommend this property for a family trip, personal break, business travel or romantic getaway. Having a car is not necessary, but parking options are plentiful and worry-free. We especially loved that the apartment was smoke-free.
We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely want to return in the future.
My daughter and I stayed here almost 3 months, and LOVED this place...the neighbors, the location, just everything about it was wonderful. It's comfortable, clean, cozy, and the owner is just a dear and so great to work with. Highly recommended!
This adorable little beach house/apartment is just what you are looking for to be close to the beach and comfortable. It is stocked with what you will need for your stay. I came and loved it so much I extended my time there. It is just a 1/2 block to the beautiful Strand and the pier, restaurants, shops in Manhattan Beach are within walking distance.
Bikes, backyard, barbecue, chairs and waher/dryer-- all you will need-taxi from the airport- you don't even need a car!
I highly recommend this beach vacation getaway! A big plus-the owner is so helpful and responsive!
I was fortunate to find this lovely beach cottage to rent for 3 months last summer. The house is in a perfect location and only 1/2 block to the strand and beach and in walking distance to restaurants nearby. The apartment was very clean, bright, cheerful, and had plenty of amenities to make it comfortable. The apartment setup is ideal for 2 or 3 people to stay. The backyard grill, table and chairs, and beach bikes were an added bonus. The manager is also very friendly and helpful. I loved my vacation in Manhattan Beach and I can not wait to book my next stay!
We rented this cottage for 3 days over Thanksgiving to be near a family gathering. It is a cute beach cottage, a couple of blocks from the water. Very clean accommodations, comfortable for 2 people. Nothing fancy, yet all the basics are there. The bikes were a great perk! Luckily for us, the upstairs tenant was away for most of our visit and we did not have to share the bikes or co-ordinate the tandem parking ins and outs until our last day. That would have been annoying to deal with on a daily basis. The owner was very nice to deal with.
