As a veteran VRBO renter who has been all over the world, I have to tell you this has been by far the best experience our family has ever had. We have rented the house several times, and it is a very special place for our family reunions. I highly recommend renting the house and any property associated with Susan- she is a gem.
We rented the house for a month this summer, and Susan made everything special and top of the line, yet again. From accommodating our group, to making extra linens and towels available to us, to the impeccable house and grounds, everything was wonderful.
We know the city very well and this is a wonderful location for getting around- it the heart of the Garden District- easy to get down to the Quarter, Uptown, Magazine Street, anywhere your group would want to go.
As much as it pains me to give away our favorite location, we have to share it out of thanks and love to Susan. Enjoy, and I hope it is as special to your family as it is to us!
A group of 17 from GA, NY, AR, IN, TN joined us during a weekend stay to celebrate my 40th birthday (Atlanta Falcon style). This home was exceptionally clean and well appointed. It was well stocked with everything we needed and decorated with pizzazz and class! All of the bedrooms are quite spacious and modern in decor. The house was very well equipped with the latest and greatest in appliances and had Wifi, which proved to be very convenient as some of us had to keep with the hustle and bustle of work.
Like the poster below me, I cannot say enough about how amazing Susan, (the owner), was. It was as though she'd met us before - I don't believe she has met a stranger in her life. Susan was great to work with and went above and beyond her call of duty to ensure that our stay was memorable, (she even offered to pick up charcoal so that we could cook out)! Her demeanor and professionalism were the BEST OF THE BEST! She made sure that we felt as though her home was OUR home for the duration of our stay.
It is a very quiet neighborhood yet you can walk to the areas supermarkets and restaurants. When we were not walking down Burbon Street or licking our wounds from the Falcon's loss to the Saints, we relaxed on the patios or in one of the spacious great rooms. As nice as the neighbors were, they made sure that we didn't forget that we were in Saints country, as they left us a "WHO DAT" flag as an exiting gift. (smile)
If you are looking for a GREAT place to stay, check the calendar and give Susan a call. I am CERTAIN that you will not be disappointed! We are planning to request this home again and as often as we can in the future. We can't say enough good things about the Owner, house and our stay. We look forward to staying in our Home Away from Home again in the near future!
A revolving group of 8 joined us during a week’s stay to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday. The house was stunning to say the least. It was impeccably furnished and was stocked with anything you could possibly need.
The owner Susan was amazing to deal with and went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that this special event was memorable. The house is centrally located to truly stops and within walking distance to some great spots on Magazine. We loved the house so much we were very sad to leave and have to return to the hustle of NYC. Again, I cannot say enough about how amazing Susan was and how she made me understand the true meaning of gracious Southern hospitality.
When we were not checking out the sights it was a pleasure to just relax on the back patio with a glass of wine or in one of the amazing great rooms.
We for sure will return and this spot comes with the highest of recommendation from some very hard to please New Yorkers.
