Cozy 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin that sleeps up to 6. Bedrooms each have comfortable full-sized beds with dressers, living room has a full futon, Franklin stove, satellite TV. Kitchen includes microwave, coffee maker, toaster, new appliances, and dining room with panoramic views of the lake. Large deck with patio furniture and grill, walk-out Michigan basement to yard area with fire pit and hammock, and stairway down to 50’ frontage on beautiful Smith Lake.

Smith Lake is very quiet – mostly pontoon boats – and is great for fishing and swimming. There is also a public beach on the opposite side of the lake.

Area activities:

Golf – Garland Resort only a 20 minute drive. Many other golf courses from Oscoda to Gaylord are easy drives as well.

Canoeing/Kayaking/Tubing – The AuSable River is a 10 minute drive for some of the best canoeing in Michigan – a variety of day trips from Mio are available that appeal to all skill levels.

Day Trips – The Mackinaw Bridge (2 hours 15 minutes), Traverse City (1 hour 50 minutes), Petoskey (2 hours), and Gaylord (1 hour 15 minutes).

Miles of trails available in the area for hiking and ORV’s.

Several nearby thrift and antique shops.
