Great Beach Frontage
Stayed for 7 nights. I am a single 52 year old lady and I felt perfectly safe staying there by myself....my best friend joined me for the last three nights there. I/we enjoyed the location immensely....walk out the door and onto the beach. You can walk and walk and walk along the beach early in the morning before the tide comes in and also walk far out onto the reef to check out the local ocean life. House was very clean and the beds were so comfy (and I'm kinda picky....don;t want them too hard or too soft). Nice stack of beach towels and beach chairs for sitting in the surf cooling my tootsies while reading. Never used the indoor shower as the outside one was such a cooling and refreshing spot!!! Bought fish and sushi rolls at Hanalei Dolphin Fish Market, highly recommend. Safeway on the way to the house was a great place to buy groceries and their steaks were better than any I have ever bought on the mainland from Safeway (local beef maybe?). Farmer's Market in Hanalei was fun; fresh lichees are so refreshing on a warm afternoon. Well equipped kitchen with sharp knives, which I really appreciated. Only two small drawbacks: A desk or standing fan or two would be a nice addition to move the air around some days....and knowing ahead of time that the property is for sale and the realtor might ask to show the house while you visit would have been nice to have a heads up on. We named the rooster, Bob, he would follow us onto the beach during our morning walk. Didn't even notice his crowing after the first night. I would go again...by myself or with a friend or two.
Families with Young Children,
Owner's Response: Mahalo ! for the review, It is very important to us to keep the house clean and supplied for our quest comfort. As for the sale of the home, it will not be shown without a guest consent, and has only been shown 3 times in the last year and a half,we try to set showings on check out days or just before a check in.
