Many of the golf courses have been created by prestigious designers in the sport and some have been designed by top Spanish professionals.Alicante Golf and Oliva Nova were designed by Severiano Ballesteros,Arnold Palmer was responsible for remodelling the three championship courses at La Manga., and Panoramica bears the signature of Bernard Langer.
Another two magnificent 18-hole courses,designed by Jack Nicklaus, has been completed near Benidorm and are open now since 2006(Real de Faula Golf Club).
Some of the courses, regularly play host to Spanish Opens.Some has been the venue for many other mayor tournaments, PGA championships and Qualifying Schools for both the men`s and ladies` European Tours. The prestigious Seve Trophy took place in 2003, and the PGA EuroPro Tour Championship Final Was held in 2004, both in the Costa Blanca.
All the courses offer excellent golfing facilities and the average cost of a round of 18 holes is 55 euros.
