Self-catering rental, excellent facilities, skiing, spacious

Our house, Ljubi Dom, is in the picturesque village of Luce overlooking the river. Guests can enjoy long walks, swimming in the local spas, skiing at two terrific resorts with even a large slope in village, whitewater rafting, or just taking in the breathtaking scenery.

Ground Floor

The lounge is a large room with several comfortable sofas and a snooker table that can be easily converted into a 10-seater dinner table. There is also an iMac with speakers for watching DVDs and listening to music.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, fridge freezer and new kitchen utensils and crockery.

The Snug Room has a traditional Slovene heater and a sofa bed.

There is also a downstairs toilet and basin.

First Floor

There are four large double bedrooms, another room for babies/toddlers to sleep in, 2 bathrooms and a 3rd toilet.

2 bunk beds in one of the rooms. There are also a washing machine and dryer. Towels and bedding are provided.

Weekly rates: £500

Skiing within 20 mins drive: Ljubi Dom is close to three ski resorts, with Golte just 20 minutes away. The resorts offer extremely reasonable pass rates and equipment hire and have lovely restaurants and bars on the slopes. Golte is a perfect place for families and skiers of different grades of experience, while Rogla has more runs for advanced skiers and snowboarders.

Excellent golf course nearby: Golf is a popular sport here and the 18-hole course of Golf Arboretum is near to Ljubi Dom. The course is in excellent condition and situated in an old arboretum creating a picturesque setting. The practice facilities and restaurant in the clubhouse are both superb. Clubs can be hired at the course and green fees are reasonable. Visit the website for more information.

Two spas within 45 mins drive: Slovenes enjoy swimming in the clear waters of the river of Luce. There are also several health spas nearby with large outdoor and indoor pools set in beautiful surroundings. The spas at Topolsica and Snovik offer massages, aromatherapy and other treatments at extremely reasonable prices, which need to be booked in advance.

The house is in the beautiful village of Luce, close to the stunning Logarska Dolina national park, a perfect place for mountain biking, hiking and picnics. The village has shops, several bars and restaurants including the award winning Pension Raduha, which offers fantastic food. Whilst the house is self-catering, our housekeeper offers delicious meals for guests at exceptional value. Three ski resorts are close by and guests can also enjoy golf, fishing, whitewater rafting, canoeing, ski-jumping for the more courageous, horse-riding and walking. There are also two spas within 40 minutes drive with several pools, water slides and wellness treatments.

Ljubljana is just over 60 mins from the house with the lovely Lake Bled 90 mins away.

The surrounding area is full of meadows, forests and rivers giving superb walks for all, whether it be for half an hour or a full day.

Rental Rates for this vacation house rental in Styria, Slovenia

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency () unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

Notes

  • Ljubi Dom is available for weekly rentals, but exceptions can be made.
    The cost of renting Ljubi Dom per week is £500 - £1,000, except for during the Christmas and New Year.
    A Booking Deposit of 35% is paybable on booking, with the balance of 65% payable at least one month before the holiday rental. Payments can be made by personal cheque or by bank transfer.
    A Security Deposit of £250 is also required to cover any breakages or damages that may occur during your stay. This deposit is returned to you in full within 14 days of departure.
    In the case of cancellation for up to 30 days before the rental the 35% deposit will be kept. Within the 30 day period before the holiday rental the full amount for the rental period is the cancellation fee. If we are able to relent the property for the period cancelled, a refund will be made.
    For any home-made suppers delivered to the house, guests are asked to pay in cash directly to our housekeeper.

A great time!

A great trip!
The house works equally well for large family gatherings and small intimate groups. We were a small party of four and were short of nothing with everything more than exceeding our expectations.
For us it was a real privilege to be part of this special place, albeit for a short period.

The perfect village!

After a 36 hour flight from "the world's most liveable city", Melbourne, (The Economist, 2012) and a drive through the mountains we arrived in what for me is "the world's most liveable village"!
What a pure joy it was to be be able to share in the beauty and perfection of this place; to sample the local pubs and restaurants, to breath in the mountain air, to smell the wonderful mix of aromas from the well-kept gardens and window boxes and to stand waist deep in the crystal clear mountain stream gently dropping a fly and landing two lively brightly coloured rainbow trout.
I had to pinch myself to check that I wasn't dreaming. And dreaming I did plenty of on the super comfortable beds, waking to sample the sensational views that surround this lovely house.
I look forward with excitement and hope to our next visit.

Beautiful retreat in the hills

I stayed here with my partner and friends for a week, its a beautiful quite village and the house is a wonderful, spacious traditional Slovenian house. It is full of traditional features, I think it was a carpenters house at one time, I really liked the furnace and playing cards in the snug. The village might be sleepy, but there are discrete bars and great local inns, have the daily menu and Goulash is a must!!! Fantastic walking in the area and we found a newly built Ski slope, so I will be back in the winter !! Highly Recommended *****.

Perfect family holiday

We had a fabulous week at the lovely Ljubi Dom with our three young children together with another family. The house was very clean and very well appointed with plenty of room for us all. The local village of Luce is very picturesque with excellent facilities (supermarket and a number of bars). All the local people were incredibly friendly and very welcoming. The surrounding area around Luce is beautiful with plenty of excellent walks and its own ski slope!

We spent a number of days skiing at nearby Golte (about 20 mins away) which was the perfect family ski resort. There are a number of challenging runs for more experienced skiers and the nursery slope and the White Rabbit ski school was the perfect introduction to skiing for the children (aged 5 and 4 years old). I would highly recommend asking for Bojan to teach your children - he had them coming down a long blue run after just three lessons!

We had a fantastic time, definitely planning on returning!

A great holiday

Spent a fantastic time in this fabulous house with our 3 small children. The house is perfeclty laid out and very spacious. Luce seems to have all you need: supermarket, bars, cash machine, tourist office, its' own ski slope and a great view. We spent most of our time skiing at nearby Golte, the perfect beginners resort and very child-friendly.

Would definitely return.
