Fabulous beach front property, 2 bed and 2 bath with jacuzzi

Eine wunderschöne Wohnung mit allem Komfort - sehr sauber und direkt am Mittelmeer liegend. Man sitzt zum Frühstück auf dem Balkon und schaut aufs Meer hinaus oder trinkt abends noch ein Gläschen Rotwein. Ich kann die Wohnung nur weiterempfehlen.
Geeignet für Leute die es gerne ein bißchen ruhiger haben oder für Familien mit Kindern sehr zu empfehlen.

We had a lovely week last week in this apartment. It is right in front of the beach (the Med side). I preferred this side as there was a cooling breeze. The Mar Menor beach is also nice and is busier. The apartment is furnished to a very high standard and some minor problems we had were dealt with quickly and efficiently by Jo, the property mananger who is a warm and friendly person. Both Playa Chica and Pietrs restaurant are handy and are in a beautiful settings and very nice. The Fogon was not open when we were there but it opened on the 1st July. There are only a limited number of restaurants within walking distance and only a couple of very small supermarkets, a fruiterers and a bakery. No other shops. However, for 1 euro, you can go on the bus which runs up and down the strip every half hour. There are some great places to eat at the Marina.There is also a good market in San Javier that can be reached by ferry from the marina.
I would recommend this area and apartment you want a quiet beach/pool holiday.

We were looking for a quiet and relaxing week in the sun and we found it. It was perfect. I am very fussy about cleanliness and was more than happy with the apartment....clean, modern, good quality furniture and fittings (including the most important dishwasher). We rented a car through Avis (no queues at the airport) and the drive was pretty straightforward. We parked the car at the apartment and did not get into it again until the drive home. We spent our time sunbathing in the garden or on the beach ( just a step away ) swimming in one of the uncrowded pools or in the sea; reading, chatting and eating and drinking. How relaxing is that. Well we did have to go shopping for some food but that too was very convenient....out of the apartment and turn right, then left beside a restaurant....and a few doors down was a fruiterer, opposite was a baker ( which also sold other basic food items) and further down on the right was a small general store masquerading as a super-mercado which was a bit of an exaggeration, but where we found all that we required. We used the aforementioned restaurant on our first night but it was on the road, so when we found Escuela de vela de Pieter (turn left out of the apartment and cross the road), we ate there every evening after that. The food was pretty standard fare and the portions were not very large (except for the paella) but who goes to Spain for the food?! The setting and the ambience more than made up for any culinary deficiences. Still ,the main thing for us was the position of the apartment....Mediterranean sea on one side and the Mar Menor just across the road on the other side, a garden and two swimming pools for when you did not fancy getting all sandy and unbroken sunshine all the week. It was not too hot (one could always sit in the shade) and anyway the apartment was airconditioned . We have not booked for next year but are certainly thinking of doing so (and this from someone who usually prefers to wait until the last minute before booking) and I heartily recommend this holiday to every one and anyone who is contemplating a holiday here. You will undoubtedly enjoy it...how could you not.
