Arcadia is a perfect, affordable getaway on St. John! Located in upscale Chocolate Hole, this home is just a quick five minute drive to Cruz Bay, and another 10-15 minutes to most North Shore beaches.

The master bedroom is located in a separate cabana, with a king bed, a/c, and satellite TV. There's a private dip pool for your enjoyment. There is a full kitchen and gas grill, both inside and outside dining areas, and a queen sleeper sofa for an additional person or two. Arcadia welcomes children aged ten and older.

Upon arrival, you will be greeted at the Cruz Bay ferry dock, and then taken to Arcadia for an island orientation. There is an on-site property manager who lives in the lower level at Arcadia, and she has her own driveway accessed via a lower road. She is completely respectful of your privacy, but on-call if you should need anything during your stay.

My husband and I were looking for a few key elements for our stay on St. John: a functioning kitchen with decent pots and pans, a grill, lots of outdoor space, AC in the bedroom, and a pool for cooling off. Arcadia met our expectations for all points, and exceeded them in other ways as well. There are ceiling fans all over the house that kept things comfortable and breezy. We loved the different porches all around for chasing/avoiding the sun during the day. We didn't mind at all that the bedroom was detached from the rest of the house/bathroom (an appealing feature for couples who are traveling with children and looking for a little privacy). The house is convenient to Cruz Bay and close to the best grocery store.

Nancy, the property manager, was especially wonderful. She met us at the ferry and gave us a very thorough overview of the house and resources on the island. When the water tank went dry one morning, she was on it and we had water back by the afternoon.

We would absolutely stay here again!

The property was clean and furnished as promised but there were some issues that were not described as accurately as they should have been. The only AC is in the bedroom unit which is maybe 20yds from the living and dining area. There are ceiling fans in the living area but it can get hot and humid, especially when cooking. Another problem is that the only bathroom is in the living/ dining area which means a walk in the moonlight or a downpour to use the facilities in the middle of the night. It would have been nice to know this in advance.
