Guestbook comments from the manager

How lovely this place is.

The setting was absolutely perfect for us providing a tranquil home from which we could explore this region of Tuscany. It truly was like coming home after each of our excursions to Pienza, Montepulciano, Cortona and so on.

All of our bedrooms were very cozy and comfortable, as well as bright and cheery. The sitting room with its huge fireplace was perfect for us all to enjoy - (we can imagine how wonderful it would be during the winter months). The kitchen had everything we needed and more.

Sarah and Josh loved going off to visit the horses each morning, they were an extra treat for us all.

The area has lots to offer and we found Villa Wisteria well placed to visit many of the towns and vineyards in the area. Louise the owner, (a registered tour guide) gave us lots of tips and was a great help to us during our two week stay.

We are certainly very happy to recommend this to other families looking for a wonderful Tuscan holiday home - we hope too to return here before too long.

Something for all of our family

  • 5 of 5

A very enjoyable and relaxed location in the countryside of Tuscany and, so close to all the famous towns we wanted to visit.

Before even arriving we knew it was the right choice. The owner agent was so kind in helping us plan some of our vacation here - a wine tour, a guided tour of Cortona and a visit to a local artist and her beautiful ceramics.

The house has charm - lots of it. The rooms are clean, spacious and well appointed and bright. the cozy sitting room looked lovely, however most of our time was spent outside enjoying the garden, pool and surrounding vistas. Eating out in the garden was great fun here.

Visiting the e ponies too was a daily routine which we all loved.

The usual story, our regret - not long enough!

happy memories of our vacation here

We have wanted to say how much we enjoyed Louise's hospitality and Terrys great help with our planning our two week vacation in Tuscany.

The house was so much more than we had expected. It was home away from home - but, with such lovely scenery, pool and the antique house and all it offered, it was so much more. Clean, comfortable, big enough for the 6 of us to enjoy our space and company.

Being close to Cortona helped too, we could easily go and choose a restaurant in the historic centre, wonder around and have an ice cream and be back home in the amazing Tuscan countryside. We had everything we needed.

We loved this place and our happy memories of the warm welcome, the beautiful house and incredible scenery will sustain us until we can go back

Simple: The perfect vacation in Tuscany

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at Villa Wisteria this past Sept 2012 with 5 of my friends for our 2 week Italy vacation. We made many day trips to Cortona, Pienza, Florence, Siena including some of the famous wineries and a fun day cooking class .The agent Terry and the owner Louise were amazing and made sure all our needs were met and that we were very comfortable - Nothing too much trouble - nothing left to chance - important (for us) as this was our only vacation.

The villa is simple perfect. Full of character and charm. All beautifully furnished and a kitchen with everything we needed to make ourselves very much at home. Clean, comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms, lovely bright views and of course the pool and gardens providing tranquility and fresh air. We really did feel at home.

I would highly recommend this Villa to anyone traveling to Tuscany .There were 7 of us with lots of space and comfort! We really do hope to go back one day - this was simply, a great vacation

Owner's Response: Hello Tom, Gill and friends Thank you for taking time to write these wonderful comments. We do try hard to please our guests - knowing there is a lot of choice and, that vacation times are all too short..... It is very nice to know we have made your and our other guest vacation here special. We will always try hard to improve where we can and maintain all the good things we care so much about. Thank you !

Very Lovely house and location

Our thanks to Terry and Luise for making this a lovely vacation for us all.

The house, old with lots of charm and character is well maintained was perfect for the 6 of us giving lots of space and compfortable living.

Outside the pool, gardens and views gave us a complete sense of living life in Tuscany and being so close to Cortona was another bonus. The property is in the lush countryside, but not so far away for us to visit many of the towns we read so much about. Besides Cortona, Pienza was very enjoyable and the smaller Castiglion Fiorentino was a delight as it had all the character of Cortona - but without the many tourists....... A pity we missed the local Pallio in June.

The bedrooms of the house were very comfortable and clean as were the bathrooms. The very large kitchen was more than we needed - or expected and so we made the most of local produce and enjoyed many a lunch and dinner in the gardens and by the pool.

an enjoyable vacation for us and one we can recommend to out friends.
