This recently renovated apartment is located in Quartier Latin, near the famous French open market called 'rue Mouffetard'... bakeries, fresh fruits and vegetables, newspapers, flowers, etc…everything you could need is just there.
Pantheon, Luxembourg, the famous university La Sorbonne are within walking distance of this apartment.
This apartment is at the very center of one of the city's most charming quarter.
The apartment is in an open spirit, very well designed and equiped. There is a bedroom with queen-size bed, a bathroom with bathtub and separate shower, a very nice living-room, an additional opened 'office room' which can be easily used as a second bedroom with one or two single beds.
The apartment is located on the 2nd floor (elevator).
This apartment is 100% wonderful! This was my first trip to Paris, actually my first trip outside the USA. From the moment my husband and I were greeted at the door by Justine, we fell in love with Cecile's apartment. The location could not be better - only steps to the Metro and surrounded by blocks of interesting cafes, bakeries, grocers and all other shops you might enjoy or need. The neighborhood is so typically "Parisian", I felt like l was living in a movie. Cecile added to the romance by stocking the apt with fresh flowers and a bottle of champagne. As the other reviewers have noted, the apt is well furnished and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable, especially after 10-12 hours of sightseeing in the most beautiful city in the world. I will always remember my seeing the Eiffel Tower for the first time. And the view of the city are stunning from Sacre Couer! One of our favorite mornings was spent shopping at Rue Moffetard for baked chicken, fresh fruit, cheese, bread and pastries. Cecile even has a straw basket in the apt for us to take to the market to carry our treasures. I don't think you could find a nicer apt or more hospitable hosts than Cecile and her assistant, Justine. I highly recommend this apartment (I wish I could give it more than 5 stars) and I hope someday we will be able to return.
We loved Paris and we loved our stay at Cecile's apartment. Justine (Cecile was away at the time) met us after our long journey and explained where everything was and how it worked. We where also greeted with beautiful flowers ,macarons, wine and water. Thank you so much for that!
The apartment was a comfortable size for myself, husband and sixteen yr old son. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals including some supplies for picnics.
The area was a perfect starting point for exploring Paris by foot, bicycle or Metro. The Metro was right outside and great for getting us any where we wanted to go. Also nice to be right at our doorstep after long hot days of exploring! The Mouffetard market is just blocks away and there is a small grocery store just up the street. We also felt very safe walking around this area.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here and would stay again if ever back in Paris.
We had the pleasure of staying at this apartment just a few weeks ago, for a wonderful week exploring Paris. Our experience with this apartment was simply wonderful, and a big part of how nice and relaxed our Paris experience was.
First, the apartment itself was great, and fit nicely for our family of four including a teen boy and a almost-teen girl. Enough room for everyone -although to set expectations, this is a Paris apartment, not a suburban American house :). Everything in good working order, and everything on-hand so that one can spend a cozy meal at home as easily as eating at one of the many cafes nearby. In fact, we had breakfast at home each morning, it was such a beautiful place to be, and outside your window is Paris! I would definitely enjoy staying here again and again.
Justine and Cecile were great -wine and treats on arrival, helpful in getting settled, giving us directions from the airport, arranging a cab when we left, and even being available on the phone when I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the shower!
The neighborhood is fantastic. Bakeries, cheese shops, charcuteries, greengrocers, markets, many of each within a block. Tons of restaurants and cafes (including one from Rick Steeve’s book) and the fun of Rue Mouffetard, within that same distance. Metro station literally steps away from the front door. but we ended up not even using the Metro most of the time, because it was an easy walk (past open-air markets!) to Notre Dame, and from there, the rest of Paris.
Every single person we met in the neighborhood was fantastically nice. The shopkeepers were gracious about trying to understand my horrible French, and equally gracious when I had to switch back to English.
This was our first trip to Paris, and if we ever get the chance to come back, I would love to stay here again!
I don't know where to begin. My mother and my daughter and I stayed in this wonderful apartment for a week in May. The location was awesome. We took the metro literally everywhere and I loved being so close to the station. The area was quiet at night and we always felt very safe, not only there but everywhere that we went in Paris. The owner was so helpful in the days and weeks leading to our arrival. She was professional, kind, efficient and so thoughtful. There were DVDs for my 10 year old daughter in the apartment since I had mentioned them before coming. The property manager, Justine was amazing ! She spoke great English and was always on time and professional. The apartment was clean and comfortable and also nicely decorated. We are already planning our next trip to Paris and will definitely be staying in this apartment. The best part was that the apartment was walking distance to a Starbucks ;) I can't think of any complaints except that we were not used to the washer/dryer combo and spent well over an hour trying to figure it out as everything is in French. Lol. But that was nothing compared to the wonderful time we spent in Paris. We were able to relax and have a great time knowing we could come back "home" to an amazing place at the end of the day.
My wife and I rented Cecile's apartment for the entire month of April 2014. The apartment is just as described in the listing. However, in actuality it is better than described in the listing due to the extra care and attention to details that Cecile provides. The apartment had many necessities like paper products, soap, coffee and tea, sugar, etc. when we arrived (even a bottle of Champagne was in the refrigerator). It was clean and very tidy. There were fresh flowers in a vase on the dining table. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is modern with a shower and separate bathtub and very hot water. The washer/dryer was also a big plus for our extended stay. The wired and wireless internet worked flawlessly. Justine (property manager) was at the apartment on our arrival. She did a great job of orientation and answered many of our questions. We felt that Justine and Cecile were genuinely committed to ensuring that our stay was hassle free - which it was. The apartment location is superb. It is literally about 10 steps from the building entrance to a Metro station. Although it's on a busy street, the apartment windows close out virtually any noise. We particularly like this part of the city. There are many very good restaurants within a 5 minute walk from the apartment. There are also many shops for cheese, wine, pastry, fruits and vegetables, and groceries nearby. Finally, Cecile was very easy to work with setting up the rental and making the rent deposit long before we arrived. If we return to Paris again someday for an extended stay we will definitely see if this apartment is available - it's great!
My mother and traveled to Paris in March 2014 and stayed at Cecile's apartment. We were met by her associate Justine and provided with a thorough explanation of the apartment, the area and were left with a few treats! They also have a guide book created to help understand appliances in the apartment as well as the area close by. The front door is next to the Metro station and a bus stop which made it easy to get anywhere in Paris. The apartment is walking distance to Rue Mouffetard, full of restaurants and shops, as well as a 20 minute walk to Saint Michel. Banks, shops, supermarkets and street markets are all close by. The apartment is equipped with everything that you could need, TV, DVDs, washer/dryer, fans, umbrellas, coffee maker, basically anything you could need has been thought of! It was clean and with the windows closed extremely quiet. Cecile and Justine were quick to answer emails, arranged our transportation to the airport and were lovely and professional to deal with. The apartment worked well for us, and we both agreed we would love to stay here again should we return to Paris! I cannot speak highly enough of the property or the comfort and hospitality extended by Cecile and Justine!
