Self catering holiday rental in Ryde on the stunning Isle of Wight. This beautiful, contemporary,

top floor, two bedroom apartment, in a Victorian grade 2 listed building, is situated close to Ryde Esplanade, marina and beautiful sandy beach, a short walk to one of the best beaches on the island, Appley sands. The apartment is also a short walk from the town shops and restaurants and the Hovercraft terminal. The hovercraft takes ten minutes to cross the Solent to the historic city of Portsmouth, with its maritime history, historic dockyard with Nelsons flagship The Victory and King Henry VIII's flagship the Mary Rose. The landmark Spinnaker Tower can be seen from the apartment.

This self catering fully equipped holiday rental is supplied with luxury linen and towels. The main bedroom has a kingsize bed and very large en-suite bathroom, second bedroom with full size single bed and full size trundle bed, main bathroom, living/dining room, kitchen and private parking. Everything for families and couples. A new Cosatto high chair has been provided for babies from 6 to 36 months for 2013.

Visit Britain 4* gold rated for 2012/13: The apartment has just been rated by the official Visit Britain tourist board and has been awarded a four star gold rating from them.

Extra details: The apartment is fully equipped and has everything for an enjoyable, no worry holiday. The beds are already made up with quality linen. Bath towels and hand towels are supplied (one bath towel per person per let) but you must bring your own beach towels. Small guest soaps are supplied. Tea towels and washing up liquid are supplied in the kitchen and the kitchen is fully equipped with cleaning products, iron and ironing board, washing machine and an airer. The property is cleaned after each let and every attention is paid to detail, ready for the next let.

There is a communal entrance to the apartments which is operated by secure entry phone.

There is a free to air digital LCD TV and digital DAB radio/CD player.

The apartment has fully passed fire inspection and has fire doors to all main rooms, smoke alarms, fire blanket and extinguisher are present.

All electrical items have been PAT tested and the gas combi boiler and gas hob have passed the Landlords Gas Safety inspection for 2012/13

Repeat bookings, payment and arrival/dep times: The check in time is after 3pm on the day of arrival and departure by 10am on the day, to allow time for cleaning etc, unless otherwise arranged with the owner.

Anyone who books and comes back to the apartment for a second stay will be treated to a 'welcome back' bottle of quality wine.

Tea, coffee and a small milk, enough for four people, is supplied for that welcome first drink on arrival.

A deposit of 25% will secure a booking which is non refundable if cancelled less than eight weeks before the start of the holiday, unless another booking is secured, then it will be returned.

Full payment, along with the returnable damage deposit, is requested eight weeks before the start of the holiday

A discount could be offered to valued repeat customers at the discretion of the owner.

Any special requests, within reason, could be catered for.

The Isle of Wight was a natural choice to purchase a holiday rental, being close to Portsmouth and being able to cross on the Hovercraft to Ryde. Ryde is a lovely, grand old Victorian town with much to offer, the apartment is in a conservation area with many listed buildings, close to Appley sands, one of the best beaches on The Island. The views from all windows in the apartment are lovely, and it has a light and airy feel, always welcoming after a day out. It is even a treat to go across and collect the laundry after the lets!!

What makes this apartment unique

In a great location, close to the town for shopping, and the best beach on The Island, with views over the rooftops of Ryde town to the rear, and the Solent to the front, even washing up is a treat!

Not forgetting that dedicated parking space in the rear car park.

The self catering apartment is situated in Ryde, on the North East coast of the Isle of Wight, a 15 minute drive from the Wightlink cross Solent ferry terminal at Fishbourne, which crosses from Portsmouth, and also a 10 minute walk from the Ryde Hovercraft terminal, which crosses to Southsea (Portsmouth) seafront. Yards from the sandy beach and a short 5 minute walk to the glorious Appley sands. All the amenities of Ryde town are within walking distance, so if crossing by Hovercraft, a car is not needed but recommended if wanting to travel around the Island. Situated on The Strand and steps away from Ryde town Esplanade. The property has its own private parking space. The apartment is very well situated for exploring all the attractions of the island. The famous Isle of Wight zoo with it's white tigers as seen on TV. The Needles, Cowes, Blackgang Chine for the children, beautiful Osbourne House , the retreat of Queen Victoria, The famous Isle of Wight glass factory where you can see glass blowing. Not forgetting a crossing on the hovercraft to the historic dockyard of Portsmouth, and Nelson's flagship, Victory.

  • PLEASE NOTE: THE APARTMENT HAS A FRIDAY CHANGE OVER DAY BUT CAN BE FLEXIBLE DURING THE LOW/MID SEASON.
    PLEASE NOTE: A MAXIMUM OF 4 PERSONS TO BE ACCOMMODATED ONLY, unless by prior agreement, when an extra charge of £75 will be made per extra person per week,, and own bedding/linen brought as it will not be supplied.
    A £100 returnable security deposit will be charged to cover any loss, damage or extra cleaning incurred during the stay. The apartment will be checked by the cleaner/owner on vacation and the deposit returned within 7 days (unless the owner is on holiday, then within 14 days). Please note, to date, there have been no instances where any of the deposit has had to be retained. If a later check out time is required and there is not another booking following on that day, then a late check out/day rate will be required as the cleaning will need to be rearranged.
    All repeat bookings will be treated to a good bottle of wine or similar as a gesture of appreciation
  • The weekend night rate is classed as being Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and bank holidays, with the weekly night rate being Monday to Thursday.
    IMPORTANT CONDITIONS
    A deposit of 25% will be taken on booking with the balance plus the security deposit payable 8 weeks prior to the start of the holiday. Failure to pay within 7 days of the due date of the balance will result in the the let period being opened up for another booking. If the holiday is cancelled prior to the due date of the balance and another let could not be achieved, then the deposit will be retained, in the event of cancellation by the letting party after the whole amount is paid, then similar conditions apply. The owner will do all possible to achieve another let but will not be liable in any way if this could not be achieved and the whole rental rate, minus the security deposit will be retained. Letting parties are advised to take out their own cancellation insurance.
  • ONE BATH TOWEL PROVIDED PER PERSON PER LET AND A HAND TOWEL IN EACH BATHROOM. PLEASE BRING EXTRA TOWELS IF REQUIRED AND OWN BEACH TOWELS.

  • The en suite bathroom off the main bedroom is very large and about the size of a single bedroom! Fully equipped with shower over the bath and shower screen and has the lovely views again over Ryde town from large windows. There are two bath towels and a hand towel in this room. The second main bathroom is also large, with shower over the bath and shower screen and also has two bath towels and a hand towel for guest use. There is also small guest soaps and good quality hand wash liquid provided on each basin.

  • THE MAIN BEDROOM has a kingsize bed, with linen already in place. it is a large light and airy space with a small Juliet balcony off and there are lovely views over Ryde town and in to the distance. It has a very large en suite bathroom attached, with large windows and the same views over Ryde town and there are bath towels (one per person per let) and a hand towel provided. All the windows have venetian blinds and curtains (no curtains in bathroom, only blinds). There is a bedside Pure DAB alarm clock/radio so you can wake up to your favourite music. THE SECOND BEDROOM has views over the Solent but there is limited space when the full underbed is pulled out to make two single beds. This bedroom is served by the main bathroom down the hallway and also has bath towels (one per person per let) and a hand towel provided.

Immaculate Apartment Rental

Immaculately presented apartment with first class links to the rest of the Island. I stayed for a few days as I was attending a wedding on the IOW between Christmas and New Year and found the convenience and location of the appartment to be ideal. Modern furnishing and two spacious bathrooms were a plus as I was staying with my wife, yound son and other family members. Would certainly think about coming back again in the future and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.

The only downside was my wife getting a parking ticket for parking in of 3 parking bays she shouldn't have! There are more spaces that you're allowed to park in than one's you aren't but be warned! Parking attendants are very keen as we were done at 9am on a Sunday morning!

Lovely apartment and town

We were very impressed with the decor and condition of the flat, it is well equipped with dishes, cooking stuff, sheets, microwave, stereo and good central heating. The curved sash windows offer a first class view and the dining table is located right beside them. Its two large bedrooms offered plenty of room for us in one and our 2 young daughters in one (aged 2 &5) in the other. Can't fault it.

We had a super break in this wonderfully clean, bright, well presented and excellently located apartment. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment (and teabags!) and the lounge-diner was spacious and airy. I am very particular and fussy about the cleanliness of accommodation when travelling, and this apartment was immaculate. Thanks Debbie for making our stay so pleasant and thank you also for being so accommodating at the last minute. We would definitely recommend this apartment.
