Self-catering holiday accommodation within walking distance of the magical and romantic Lake Bled and five minutes drive from the centre of Bled. We recently renovated the house to give maximum flexibility. It can easily be a whole 3 storey house for up to 12 persons or 3 separate apartments each for 4 persons. There are 4 bedrooms, 2 living rooms with sofa beds and a sitting room with balcony. We can meet a variety of accommodation needs. The house is surrounded by picturesque views and superb walking country in an area with abundant Summer and Winter activities for the whole family. Try swimming in Lake Bled in summer, skiing nearby in winter or biking, canoeing, fishing, golf, mountaineering etc. There are 4 ski resorts within 30 minutes drive. This beautiful country offers many sightseeing opportunities including those around the Julian Alps and the famous Triglav National Park.

Recently renovated to a high standard and decorated in light modern colours, this apartment has one double bedroom, plus a double sofa bed in the living room. It sleeps 4 people. The spacious open plan living/dining area looks out through a patio door onto the garden. The kitchen is ultra modern and fully fitted with oven, hob, dishwasher and fridge freezer. There is a small paved patio area and a lawn, provided without garden furniture for eating outside. The garden is fenced and secure for young children. The shower room is fitted with very high spec fittings.

This area is renowned for its beautiful and spectacular scenery and the wide range of outdoor activities available. Lake Bled is surrounded by mountains, has an island you can visit by gondola to explore its seventeenth century church. The medieval castle sits on a rock high above the lake. Bled has a large choice of bars, restaurants, coffee bars (serving delicious cakes), and many boutiques and gift shops in addition to supermarkets and other food shops. Situated near to the motorway system, Bled is within easy reach of all areas of Slovenia and in particular the capital city Ljubljana. Land based activities and water sports for the whole family in summer and winter are in abundance. Sightseeing trips are available to many tourist attractions. English is widely spoken.

  • A (non refundable) deposit of 130 euros is required to secure the booking. This can be paid in sterling into our UK bank account or in euros into our Slovenian or French accounts. Alternatively, by credit/debit card in any currency via PayPal. The remainder is payable 28 days before the rental begins. A returnable security deposit of 100 euros and tourist tax of 1.01 euro per person per night is payable upon arrival.
  • PLEASE NOTE in July and August the minimum stay is 7 nights and the changeover day is Saturday.

Skiing at Bled: The ski resort of Bled, part of the the Bohinj ski area (82 individual pistes), offers some of the most picturesque skiing in the world. The Straza ski area reached by chairlift from Bled's centre is best suited to beginners and early intermediates. A ski lift pass gives access to skiing and snowboarding in the other Bohinj ski resorts. A free ski bus takes you to the Vogel and Kobla ski areas on the slopes of Mount Triglav, where you can ski up to 1800m. Beginners can master techniques on Kobla before testing the wide open runs on Vogel's superb plateau. There are a variety of runs on Kobla and Vogel for intermediates. Vogel has an incredible 8.5 km run going over the back of the mountain and descending to the magnificant lakeside area below. Apres ski, nightlife in Bled is concentrated around the shopping centre and in the old part of the town where there are an excellent selection of pubs and restaurants. Bled has an ice-skating rink and there is skating on the lake if it freezes.

Getting around: It is possible to get around on foot if you enjoy walking. To go further afield public transport from Bled is good. Alternatively, car hire is available in the town or at the airport. There are coach tours to many tourist attractions.

Getting there.: Easyjet fly from Stansted. Adria Air fly from Gatwick. We regularly drive from Calais with one overnight stop and arrive by about 6 pm.

Fanastic apartment- beautiful surroundings

We have just spent an idyllic week in the rear apartment of this holiday home. The apartment was spotlessly clean and the best equipped and comfortable apartment I have ever stayed in.
We did not have a car and enjoyed the 25-40 minute walk to Lake Bled (depending on which route we took) each day. The local shop - a 5 minute walk away - stocked everything we needed for the week and we enjoyed the local village restaurants(a choice of 2)
I would not hesitate to recommend this property to friends who enjoy peaceful, scenic surroundings with the luxury of fully equipped apartment.

Very comfortable and beautifull

We were in this appartement early August. We have a 1,5 year old son and is was the perfect location for us. Everything was available: dishwasher, dvd, garden, gardenchairs, laundrymachine, microwave. Good place to do much sightseeing. The village is very close to Bled and is really cute.

The only tip is that the waste should be picked up more often, de day that they came to collect it, there was so much waste from the 3 appartements that the bin was already full 1 minute after the garbageguys went away.

Nevertheless maybe thats Slovenia

excellent appartement,très propre,agréable,confortable,,jardin avec tables,relax ,parasol à disposition.Petit village fleuri,et ville de Bled à cinq minutes en voiture,ou,20 minutes à pied.(via Selo)Avons assez bien rayonné dans le pays(montagne,gorge,mer,villes médiévales ,marché artisanal et autres curiosités)Quant aux courses,plusieurs grandes surfaces à quelques minutes de voiture(Lesce et Radovljica) et petite surface dans le village.Quant au climat,peut-être sommes - nous partis un peu trop tôt dans la saison?on ne peux pas dire qu'il faisait mauvais ,mais quelques rayons de soleil en plus auraient été les bienvenus certains jours
C'est la faute à personne......Je pense que je retournerai dans ce pays,ai encore pas mal de régions à découvrir et m'y sens en sécurité.Bonnes vacances aux futurs locataires

Nice appartment in a lovely place

Hi,
I would definitely recommend the appartment. The description was in accordance with the description. The apartment was clean and well equipped (microwave, dish washer, TV-DVD, etc). We had little problems with the coffee machine, and we would have appreciated to have a little bit more plates, glasses, but overall we are extremely satisfied. The village is very quiet and the appartment is perfect if you are looking for a place far away from urban noises. Which means that, this is not Ibiza (my god!) and if you are looking for night life activities, this is likely not the right place to stay - but I guess you already know this if you are interested in visiting this beautiful country). My wife and my two daughters (12 and 9) enjoyed so much our stay that we are already planning to come back.

Excellent apartment

We stayed in the ground floor (rear) apartment which was excellent, furnished to a high standard and very comfortable, there was everything there that you would need, we were met by an English speaking representative, Nadia, who was very helpful. There is a restaurant and a small supermarket 5 minutes walk away. The walk into Bled is lovely, we recommend the longer walk which takes you through the village of Selo and takes about 45 minutes and the views are fantastic. We highly recommend this apartment.
Owner's Response: The walk through Selo is our favourite too. We usually add on a walk around the lake, go for a coffee (and sometimes a cake!) then come back the shorter route.
