4 bedroom house, sleeps 8 in the centre of the historic town of Antibes

Nestled away on a cobbled street and yet just seconds from the bustling old town, the house is superbly located with everything on your doorstep. At 180sq m/1,937sq ft, the house is set out over four levels with a sweeping staircase. There are 4 bedrooms that can accommodate up to 8 people. On the ground floor there is a double bedroom with chaise lounge and en suite shower room. The large master bedroom is located on the 1st floor and has a full bathroom en suite (bath with shower, basin, toilet, bidet). The second double bedroom is also on this floor with en suite shower room and walk-in wardrobe. Also on the 1st floor is a separate WC. The large sunny living/dining room is located on the third floor and is equipped with plasma TV, DVD and satellite. There is a separate very well equipped kitchen (American style fridge/freezer, dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave) and utility room with washing machine. The attic room has two single beds and en suite WC.

The house lies adjacent to the historic city walls whose archways lead to one of the largest yacht harbours in the Mediterranean. There are an abundance of quality restaurants, shops, galleries and cafes nearby. The wonderfully colourful Provençal Market is just two minutes walk away guaranteeing you the freshest local produce. The Picasso Museum and the impressive Roman Cathedral are also only a few minutes stroll away.

La Gravette beach is a lovely sandy beach less than 5 minutes walk away. It benefits from a breakwater making it particularly safe for children. Marineland, La Ferme du Far West, Aqua splash and Adventure Golf are only a ten minute drive away.

Antibes is in the prestigious heart of the Cote d'Azur between Nice and Cannes. The house is ideally located close to all public transport links making it easy to explore the French Riviera (Monaco, St Tropez, Menton, Eze, Ventimiglia, Grasse, Biot). Nice Airport is only 20 minutes away by taxi, bus or car.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The minimum letting period is generally one week, from Saturday to Saturday. Shorter letting periods are by special arrangement only. The letting prices are per week and per lodging. A security deposit of €500 is required at check-in and is refunded on departure assuming there is no damage to the property.
  • Arrivals and Departures: Check-in is at 16.00 hrs. and check-out is at 10.00 hrs. On arrival you will be met by our representative who will go through an inventory of the property, take receipt of a security deposit, familiarize you with appliances and hand over keys. Late arrivals between 8.00pm and 10.00pm will incur an extra charge of €50 to be paid in cash on arrival.
  • Cancellation: You or any member of your party may cancel your booking at any time. A full refund will be given if cancellation is received 8 weeks prior to the booking date, however no refund will be made if cancellation occurs within 8 weeks of the booking. We strongly recommend that you take out personal travel insurance to cover you for cancellations/lost or theft of your personal property.

Parking:

The pedestrian old town is usually inaccessible by car however permanent parking is available at the harbour 100 meters away, It is possible to stop in front of the house for short term parking to unload luggage or shopping during off-peak times. 1 Private car space available to rent on request, 5 minutes from house.

Events and Activities:

Antibes hosts its own yacht show in April and an antiques fair in September. Les Voiles D’Antibes (regatta) is held in June. Antibes is an ideal base for the Cannes Film Festival or the Monaco Grand Prix both held in May. The July Jazz Festival in Juan les Pins is only minutes away. The Nice Carnival is a must for February.

Antibes has plenty to offer families with small children. Marineland, the biggest marine park in Europe with 1.2 million visitors a year is only a ten minute drive away. It features dolphins and whales, 30m long shark tunnel, aquariums and a museum and is open all year round. Adjacent to Marineland you’ll also find La Ferme du Far West (1 hectare park with horses, ponies, labyrinth and rides for small children), Aquasplash (water park with 12 toboggans, wave pool, enchanted river, 1,000m² pool) and Adventure Golf.

Sports and Leisure:

Water Sports: with a marina at its heart sailing, yachting, water skiing and wind surfing are all readily available in Antibes.

Golf: with 14 golf courses to choose within a 30 mins drive there is something for all levels. The Mougins ‘Golf and Country Club’ is renowned in France. The course is set in a beautiful landscape with outstanding views. Also of note is the Royal Mougins which has hosted the French Open.

Inland are riding, canoeing and kayaking. For the more adventurous there is also canyoning.

Skiing: there are two ski resorts within an hours drive offering excellent facilities including the ESF ski school. Isola 2000 (with 120 km pistes) set at 2000 metres, it is a purpose built resort. In contrast the traditional alpine village of Auron (130 km pistes) at 1600 metres oozes character.

Fantastic rental

Just stayed here with my family including 3 young kids and this house is perfect and has everything you need...and great little details like beach gear, kids games etc. The rooms are well decorated, and the kitchen has everything you need...plus the best part is that It's steps from the beach. Cyril the property manager was terrific, friendly and helpful. If you're traveling with a group this should be your place....

brilliant! fantastic!loved it!

this was a family holiday, we have four children (grown up now) and we couldn't have chosen a more appropriate property. we felt at home as soon as we entered the property. location is perfect, close to everything you would want on a special holiday. train station about a 10-15 min walk so you can travel to all the popular towns and cities. you walk out the front door and you can be either on the beach in 5 minutes or at the local (brilliant) market in just about the same time. the selection of restaurants is second to none. we would highly recommend Le Pistou, we went there for our eldest son's 30th birthday and it was like dining at home with the best service you could ever wish for. we wil definitely recommend this property to anyone without hesitation, and would love to go back again one day with either the family or maybe a group of friends!!

cyril, the agent, was the most helpful man you could wish for, nothing was too much trouble, we needed assistance with one of our family and cyril was there without any delay, it was very comforting in a foreign country to know that there was someone you could depend on.

Had a wonderful time in Antibes from the first moment we picked up the key to our property.

The property was first class and did not disappoint in any way at all...it was clean, well equipped and homely. It's location was exactly what we wanted...right in the centre of Antibes old town.

We wouldn't hesitate to book again, and everything from booking to receiving and returning the key was handled in a smooth and professional manner. Thanks for a smashing holiday base!

Everything the website promises and more ...

We spent a long weekend in this property in April 2010 with friends and had a great time. The house is truely lovely, spotlessly clean and everything was as promised on the website, plus lots of little extras (such as condiments & coffee in the kitchen, plenty of loo rolls and soap, washing up liquid), things not usually found in self catering accommodation but which make life easier on arrival. You really are in the thick of things, bars and restaurants at the end of the lane, a 5 minute stroll to the market, and to quieter squares for that all important morning coffee. Doing business with the owner was absolutely straight forward and she and the agent in Antibes went out of their way to be helpful. I'd recommend this property without hesitation and only wish we had stayed for longer.

Great Property

This property was beautiful and I highly recommend it. Due to the fact that it is over four floor with stairs it might not be suitable for older folks who have difficulty climbing stairs but if that is not a factor, you can't go wrong with this property. Restaurants and the old port are just outside of your front door. The covered market is very close walking distance. Easy access to the supermarkets and public transportation (although we had a car).
The property was exactly as depicted in the photos and was clean and well kept. They even had a beach umbrella and tent that you could use at the nearby beaches.
I would recommend only a few items to be added:
A blender for the kitchen (for making those wonderful frozen cocktails).
A cooler (insulated) bag would be very helpful for the beach.
And as an American, I'm used to having washcloths in the bathroom. There were none so we had to purchase some. Also a shower curtain for the master bathroom so we don't get the floor drenched when we take a shower. There is a bathtub but we favor showers so that ruled out using that bathroom for showering.
The owner was great and I would never hesitate to do business with her again.
