Fabulous new ocean view home located in the beautiful area of Carrillo. Located about 2 hours south of the Liberia International Airport, Playa Carrillo is one of the prettiest beaches in Costa Rica and 'Casa Vela' has beautiful ocean views with Pacific sunrises and sunsets. Enjoy the peace and quiet of Carillo from this wonderful home or drive a short distance into Samara for more action! Carrillo is well known for world class sport fishing and many boats are available for fishing trips in the area. The beach is long, beautiful and lined with coconut palms. This is one of the hidden gems of coastal Costa Rica.

'Casa Vela' is a new, custom home located 1100 feet above the Carrillo beach. The master bedroom opens onto the pool patio and has a view of the Pacific Ocean. The infinity pool is adjoined by a large heated Jacuzzi. Both bedrooms have private baths and large closets. The kitchen is custom and fully equipped.

The house is fully air conditioned and each room has ceiling fans.

I travel extensively and enjoy sportfishing for marlin, sailfish and other species so this was the perfect destination to build my dream vacation home.

Samara/Carrillo is in a rural area of Costa Rica. The beach is one of the most beautiful in the country. Deep sea fishing is very good. There is also kayaking,surfing, canopy tour, horseback riding and other local tourist activities close by. Samara is the nearest village and there are beachside restaurants available. Samara also has grocery stores and boutiques.

My wife, daughter, her husband, and I just returned from a wonderful Costa Rica vacation! The owner, Jacqueline, was so helpful and gave us impeccable directions as well as answering any questions we had prior to our arrival. We had planned to do some touring around Costa Rica, but our kids said they would rather stay at the Casa for the entire week after they saw what it had to offer. And we did. Ana prepared whatever we wanted for meals (you do have to provide your own food, but give her a list for the butcher on Mondays to have all the meat delivered for the rest of the week) and all meals were excellent! My kids had a rental car breakdown while visiting Samara (close town, right on the beach). All they had was the email address of Jacqueline and emailed her telling her that they were stranded. Way above and beyond, Jacquieine called Ana and told her of the plight of our kids. Ana and her husband drove to Samara where they got the radiator repaired and allowed the kids to drive back to the Casa. This is one of most beautiful places we have visited in our 65 years! Definitely would recommend renting a 4 wheel drive vehicle.

The house is truly amazing. The breathtaking views are endless. Everything you can possibly think off is there. From the pool to the kitchen to the laundry. Nothing is overlooked. There is shopping in nearby Samara along with many great restaurants. Joan was very helpful in planning our stay. This truly is a remarkable home and can't wait to return again. A 4-wheel drive vehicle is best for the 2 mile drive up the steep dirt road to the house.

Without a doubt, Casa Vela is one of the most impressive vacation homes in VRBO. The mountaintop location is private without being remote and is also quite romantic, with the infinity pool and Jacuzzi just steps away from the master bedroom. And the fully-outfitted kitchen lets you buy groceries at one of the many small local markets in order to prepare your own meals, anything from steaks on the grill to a simple fresh pineapple for breakfast. This trip was definitely one to remember--we'll be back soon!

Your house is beautiful and our time has been nothing less than magnificent. There is so much to say - I loved the perfectly outfitted kitchen, with all the conveniences of home. You must be a cook because you had everything we needed! I never want to leave this place, its so beautiful. Mike and I have done a lot of traveling, but we haven't been to a place quite like yours! Besides the spectacular view, your home has a certain fung shui that warms the heart and spirit.
