DOWNTOWN HISTORIC PLYMOUTH: WALK TO NELSON BEACH, HARBOR, MAYFLOWER, RESTUARANTS

Plymouth House Rental Photos and Description

3 Bedrooms plus Den, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 6, Spacious, Comfortable, Central Air

Our vacation home is nestled in the center of historic Plymouth. It's a great location because it's just 500 feet from Nelson Recreational Park and Beach. Nelson Recreational Area has a beach, new 'splash pad' water play area for children, large playground, walking path, boat ramp, paved bike trial, picnic area and seasonal snack bar.

Since we are located in the center of 'America's Hometown', the Mayflower II, Plymouth Rock and harbor area are just a short walk from our home. Also within walking distance, there are many shops and restaurants, whale watching and fishing boat tours, the visitor's center, Provincetown Ferry, Grist Mill and other historic sites.

Our home is a spacious, second floor apartment of a two family home with your own private entrance. It has three bedrooms (one bedroom with a queen bed, one bedroom with two twin bunk beds, and one bedroom that with two twin beds that can also be converted into one king bed). In addition, there is another bedroom that has been converted to a small tv room with a love seat and computer. It has one bathroom with a combination tub and shower. In addition, it has central air conditioning, high speed wifi, a fast large screen pc, two tvs, an additional gaming tv with wii console and a iPhone docking station/radio. There are also complimentary washer and dryer in the cellar. There are two off street parking spots so that you do not have to worry about finding a parking space downtown. Our home provides our guests with a comfortable and convenient setting to enjoy all that Plymouth has to offer. Our home is smoke free and pet free.

The combination of natural beauty, historic sites and many conveniences makes Plymouth a wonderful location for a vacation destination. Of the top 15 things to do in Plymouth, as ranked by TripAdvisor.com, 12 are within walking distance of our home.

Plimoth Plantation (living museum on the Pilgram Colony and Wampanoag Site), the Myles Standish State Forest (13 miles of hiking trails), beautiful beaches and golf courses are all about a 10 minute drive from our home.

The Plymouth Railroad Station, which is a commuter train that services Boston, is less than two miles away from our home and provides free parking. The local bus line can be picked up right outside our home (just give them a wave) and costs $1 for adults and half price for children/seniors for a one way fare. The bus line has stops at the Plymouth Railroad Station, the large malls and various locations in and around downtown Plymouth.

There are many places to go for day trips: Cape Cod is a 30 minute drive, Boston and Providence are about an hour drive. We have tour books, maps and guest information to help you decide what to do in and around Plymouth. We would be happy to assist you with your vacation planning needs.

My husband, Joe, and I live in Connecticut with our two sons, Niko (18) and Alex (17). We love to travel and have been renting vacation rentals from HomeAway and VRBO in the US and internationally for almost 10 years. We purchased this two family home as an investment because we ultimately want retire in Plymouth because of the quality of life and the abundance of things to do. We initially were going to rent both apartments but my husband's parents (Joan and George) loved the area so much, they moved into the first floor apartment and now provide assistance to our guests. We look forward to sharing our home with you so that you can enjoy Plymouth too :)

We loved our vacation in Plymouth last summer and highly recommend this property. The apartment was perfect for our family needs. It was very clean and spacious and comfortable and very close to the historic attractions, restaurants, shops and beaches (our favorite was Duxbury but not much parking and you need to walk a longer way to get to the beach…but worth it). The apartment was also centrally located just a couple of minutes from the highway which made it easy to get started on our day trips to Boston and Cape Cod. Although there are no beach or ocean views from the home, it is very close to both. The couple of things that stood out are lots of space for the entire family, comfortable beds, and central air conditioning that was strong and quiet. We highly recommend this vacation rental l to our family and friends. The only time we wouldn't recommend is if someone wanted a first floor unit or a "luxury" rental (which would cost a lot more too). We recommend Plymouth as a destination because there are so many things to do. Thanks for everything!

Nice Home

This is a very nice home. We stayed last April during our school vacation.

The home is one of the best we have ever stayed during our 10+ years of travel. It is spacious, spotless and comfortable for family of six. There is a large eat-in kitchen, which has everything one needs for cooking a family dinner. All bedrooms were good size and nice decorated, which made us feel like home.

The biggest plus is its location. It is within walking distance to the Park, beach and downtown Plymouth. We had nice weather in April, so we walked everywhere and visited historical sites.

Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay and great trip to Plymouth. We could go back to stay there again in a heartbeat. Thanks.
