Im not one to write reviews, but in this case I feel like it would be an injustice if I didn't. Nick was hands down the friendliest owner Ive ever had any exchange with and made the check in and out so easy by being very responsive either over text or email. If you're looking for a weekend get away with your friends, gf/bf, or have a family looking for a cabin in Arrowhead- look no further. The location and warm homey feel of this cabin is where you want to stay. Im sold on this place, and won't stay anywhere else in the future.
I wanted to review my trip to Nick's place in Arrowhead. I never do reviews and wonder how legit they are, but this is definitely real, cause I'm writing it :-)
The place was really great... it was really huge and could easily sleep 10, two per bed. It was very clean and had all the kitchen gear and bathroom/bedroom linens The location was good, not far from the Village. The owner Nick was a pleasure to work with, great demeanor and easy going about everything. I would definitely stay there again! Excellent time!!!
I stayed here with a group of friends to celebrate my birthday last year and we had such a fabulous time, that some of us never even left the house. There really is no need to . Between the ping pong table, horseshoe pit, games, cozy bedrooms and living room to read in, outdoor Jacuzzi, billiard room, great kitchen, it was just so perfect that we had no interest in going to visit the village. It is a fabulous place to hang out at and cook all day in too!
The garage loft is fabulous with 3 beds and a billiards room below. It was a great place for a few people to sleep who want to sleep-in and get away from the noise of a group inside. While we did not have any children in our group, the bunk room would be a perfect spot to pile up the kiddies. With the pullout couch it could actually sleep 8 people.
We had no problems with running water, shower heads working, etc (I noticed that one visitor expressed an issue). Nick was very accommodating and the informational binder had answers to any questions you might have!
This place is cozy, yet not cramped at all. It is truly fabulous! My only warning is that the hot tub is raised so that the outside edge is about 10 feet off the ground. We had a VERY strict rule that no one was allowed to sit on the outer edges. I would suggest absolutely NO horseplay or unattended children in the hot tub if you bring kids with.
A exceptional home away from home, our party of 10 had a wonderful stay in this well appointed 5bd 5ba home with great amenities and a nice layout that included a great gathering space on the back patio deck!
My family just stayed at this wonderful home. We had a grand time and the house was spotless and Nick was even nice enough to leave a bouquet of flowers.
Everything was as promised and more.
The kitchen had all the equipment to do whatever we wanted and the condiments were all there as well.
We enjoyed are stay immensely and want to come back right away.
Thank you for keeping up such a nice place.
The pictures do not do the house justice it is much bigger and prettier
than the photos represent.
When we came to the house we had the opportunity to meet the owner, who was very nice. The house came as described, although the floors were very dirty in the kitchen when we arrived/and there was trash in the kitchen bin that was not in a bag and had to be carried outside to be emptied. Not a big deal, and I ended us taking care of it with a quick sweep/trash run. However, we also discovered one of the guest house beds was broken. A few of the showerheads were also non-operational. We were visiting for a wedding and had 10 people who needed to shower/get ready, so you could imagine how stressful that could have been. To Nick's credit, he was very responsive when we notified him of these issues. Overall, I did like the house and the location was great, plus the bed/bath situation did match what was advertised on Homeaway/VRBO..
However, for what we paid to stay there, I would hope that basic amenities like showers and beds would be checked beforehand, and that the place would be very clean when we arrived. For that I had to take off one star.
