As a South African living abroad, I live with my family in the Middle East. I grew up in Africa and studied in Cape Town. I fell in love with Cape Town on my first trip and have lived on and off there since the 1980s.
My husband and I designed and managed the building of Kakapo Lodge. We love Noordhoek for its rural feel and for the stunning beach and mountains nearby. We spend as much time as we can exploring Noordhoek - beach walks, wine tasting and visiting delicious coffee shops.
Kakapo Lodge is a family home set in a restful and peaceful area. We love spending time on our veranda watching the many beautiful birds that visit the garden and seeing the sun set over the Atlantic. I am a passionate gardener and I love pottering in the indigenous garden that I have established over the years.
