My name is Daniela am Italian (from Trieste) and I have lived there for over 22 years. I love the and I spend sometime there every year.
I lived in Rome for over 20 years and I LOVE IT. Rome is a place everyone has to see (at least once!).
I choose this home because I lived in the area previously and I did not wanted to give up a few things that are fantastic and unique including being very close to the centre of town without the traffic and the hassle of a big city, the fresh food market around the corner (considered one of the best in Rome), Villa Pamphili at 5/10 minutes walk from home (a very beautiful park, with secular Maritime Pines, a pond and acres of space to play and jog and have a stroll), the great transport services took me in the centre of Rome in 10 minutes and back home also in the night with a tram at 2 minutes walk from home, the swimming pool, the gym, and all shops including one of the best hand made ice cream parlor in Rome at 2 minutes walk from home (tony's), hand made 'pizza al taglio', etc...etc...
I bought this particular apartment in Monteverde firstly because of the amount of natural light there is in the place, it is amazing!
Secondly the apartment is really quite. This was a must for me when I bought it, previously living in a apartment where the car traffic was a nightmare. It is difficult in Rome to be in a central area without hearing the car traffic (unfortunately)
Secondly the apartment, even if small, it is a gem...high ceilings make the space expande and you feel great, the beautiful floor gives you the luxury to walk barefoot.
I left my piano there to have other people enjoy it. For them who knows a little bit about pianos they will know that Feurich is a very 'noble' German made, full of history and well know for the warm sound.
The apartment is situated in Monteverde, 4 Km to the centre of Rome.
You can reach Trastevere in 5 minutes and the historical centre of Rome in 10 minutes by a very frequent tram that is only 2 minutes walk from home and runs 24 hours (Tram number 8).

Porta Portese flee market is at 4 stops away with tram number 8 (7 minutes).
The flat is situated in a quiet area and it is at a walking distance to a fantastic park with a lake (Villa Pamphili - must see!).
To get to the apartment from Fiumicino Airport there is a train (20 minutes ride) to Trastevere and then a 3 stops tram ride (5 minutes).
From Trastevere you can get a train to the sea and the beaches and many other destinations in Lazio and Italy.
