John and Mary, I've been meaning to write for the last few days to tell ya'll how much we enjoyed our stay. The river was very high but we managed to find lots of springs to visit and had plenty to do. Your home was perfect for us and very relaxing and quiet. We saw turkeys almost every day and all other sorts of wildlife. The frog chorus at night was incredible! I do have to report that I broke a bowl in my haste to refill my ice cream, which was tragic for the bowl and for me because it had Blue Bell ice cream in it! One of the coasters fell off of the table between the recliners and broke in half as well. With four boys it is tough to survive seven days with no breakages! I will replace them or reimburse you for them, whatever you prefer.
If you happen to find a wedding band , it's mine. I am just not sure when and where I took it off, so it may not be there. Anyway, thanks again and we loved your place!
Take care, Rand
No worries regarding the broken items - we raised two boys and have 4 grandsons! Thanks for your honesty but no replacement is needed. We are so pleased that you enjoyed your time there. We are letting our caretaker know about the ring and she will be on the look-out.
Enjoy the rest of the summer days, and we appreciate your note very much.
Regards, Mary and John
Our family went to celebrate our mother's 71st birthday and our parent's 51st wedding anniversary. It was more perfect than we expected! Plenty of room for all of us! From the porch overlooking the river, the fire pit where we roasted smores, and the bell that our sweet little children loved to ring- it was a piece of heaven on the river. We were able to load the boat right from the property and enjoy the dock where we fished and relaxed. We were a short boat ride to Rock Bluff Springs which the kids loved swimming, fishing, and lots of laughing! We will be planning our next river trip soon~ Absolutely perfect! Thank you John and Mary for a lovely home to enjoy our celebrations! We most definitely will be back.
We had a great time! Plenty of room for a family of 6 and the beds are very comfortable. The den is set up well for relaxing after a day swimming in the springs. We saw lots of wildlife every day, including turkeys, hawks, cottontails, squirrels and even gopher tortoises. The frog chorus at night was impressive! Fishing was slow due to the river being so high but we had plenty of other stuff to do. The house has everything you need for a nice relaxing stay, and lots of extras that make sense when you get there. Since we did not know the area, we would have benefited from wifi so we could search for park closings and such, but then the kids would have had to be on you tube all the time. The swing in the yard is really , really cool! One more thing, this location is very close to many of the springs, about 30 minutes to Ichetucknee and Ginnie and fifteen minutes from the smaller ones.
This was our second trip here. This time we took Mom and stepdad for mothers day weekend.they loved it as much as we do. A quiet and luxurious cabin nestled in the woods on a bend of the Suwannee river. The home is so well kept that it looks like it is newly built, right down to the furniture. It gives me great ideas for decorating my own home. Its so peaceful hearing the birds singing and the humongous sturgeon belly flopping in the river. This place will slow your rate down and make you live longer. The small towns nearby are great to visit and to search for decorating treasures. The evening brings a new light with the wild night life of animals and creatures that you could never hear in the city. I love going here, and will go again
Riverfront recreation area, floating dock, boat ramp, volleyball court, swing set, horseshoe pit w/ horseshoes, shuffleboard, basketball, 7-station fitness trail, wildlife feeders, nature trails, underdeck porch swing.
