As you enter the private iron gates onto the lush grounds of this tranquil home, you feel the calming beauty of a soothing water-feature and a classic stone sculpture of Kuan Yin. This private and peaceful estate is set amid manicured lawns, water features, yard sculptures, fragrant rose gardens, and an orchard. The natural beauty surrounding the home's pool terrace creates the heart of this spectacular house. A waterfall from the spa cascades into the indigo-colored pool, and the entire pool area is enhanced by serene ocean, mountain, and garden views. In addition, this property boasts a second lap-pool with fountain and very private patio.
Inside, the Living room is spacious and open with skylights that flood the main living areas with an abundance of light. A comfortable sectional sofa is centered around the large flat-screen TV, and a full wet-bar makes for effortless entertaining.
The Gourmet Kitchen is complete with a large center island, bar seating, professional appliances and is fully stocked with all you need for comfortable entertaining. In addition to a dining table seating 6-8 people, the kitchen area includes a large plasma TV and vintage Wurlitzer juke box, making this an ideal gathering place for family and friends.
The Formal Dining Room, adjacent to the Living Room, seats 16 guests with two sets of French doors opening to the pool terrace and more outdoor dining and seating options. An outdoor kitchen centers around the extra large gas grill with 2 side burners and also features a refrigerator, large slate serving counters and a nearby fireplace.
This grand home can easily accommodate four adult couples in four very separate spacious suites, each offering privacy and luxury.
The Master Suite has richly-colored walls and a sunken office area with a black lacquer desk. With numerous French doors, the suite opens to the entire backyard area, including the main pool terrace, rose garden and lap pool. The Master Bathroom has his and hers counters, sinks, vanity and views of the lap pool patio. A walk-in marble shower, steam shower, and air jet bathtub complete the spa-like feel of this bathroom.
The Guest Suite down the hall from the Master Bedroom feels a part of the garden landscape with French doors that open to both the entry courtyard and fountain and to the lap pool patio. A full bath has a spa tub and closet dressing area. A Powder Room is also conveniently located in the hall between these rooms.
Two detached Guest Houses open to the entry courtyard, allowing for privacy while still remaining within a few short steps of the main house. Guest House #1 has a kitchenette, full bathroom and a comfortable wide day bed in addition to a California King-size bed and a large plasma television.This is the perfect choice for guests who would enjoy the added privacy of a separate entrance to the driveway. Guest House #2 also has French doors leading to the main pool terrace and includes a private seating area with fireplace and a full bathroom. This suite also is fitted with a California King-size bed and large plasma TV.
An office loft is the only room not on the main level and has a desk and a comfortable contemporary day bed suitable for one extra adult guest. Throw open the shuttered windows to enjoy spectacular ocean views.
As an added bonus, Zen Garden is located a short 5-minute walk to Montecito's Lower Village, where the finest shops and restaurants will tempt the most discriminating visitor. Walk five more minutes, and you are enjoying the white sands of Butterfly Beach, in front of the famous 4-Seasons Biltmore hotel.
