Mid-century Guest House on approximately 3-acre riverfront estate with boat dock on deep water.
The “Boathouse” in its entirety was rehabilitated in 2012 with stunning, high-end appointments throughout boasting a deluxe master bedroom with en suite bathroom upstairs; living room, modern kitchen and one-half bathroom downstairs. Outside areas include upstairs deck and downstairs patio, covered and uncovered.
Spend your time while visiting this gorgeous property by taking a stroll over the grounds, walking to the dock to observe the sea birds and wildlife or leisurely sitting on the upstairs deck watching the sun set through the old majestic oak trees. It’s truly magical!
This riverfront estate is only 10 minutes to historic downtown Savannah and 15 minutes to Tybee Island Beach. Stay in this perfect setting for your vacation, honeymoon, romantic get-away or business trip.
Despite unseasonably cold and windy weather, we thoroughly our first visit to Savannah. Our stay at the Boathouse made it all worthwhile!
When we arrived late in the evening we were literally blown away as it seemed as if we had come across an enchanted cottage in the forest! Every window was aglow with lights! When we opened the door we knew that we had arrived. From the uniquely furnished living room to the kitchen with the beautiful marble island (complete with a bottle of wine) it was a breathtaking sight!
Upstairs was equally impressive! From the four poster bed to the gorgeous bathroom, everything seemed to be a perfect combination of old south and modern efficiency, It was impeccably clean with everything necessary to make for a perfect getaway!
Because of the weather, we could only envision having coffee on the deck off the bedroom or a glass of wine in the front yard patio.
Brian and Patsi are very accommodating (even to the point of returning to us by mail a forgotten item) and easy to be around. We be back!

What a wonderful visit my husband and I had! Savannah was great but the Boathouse really made our trip. It was perfect! I'm a little picky...my husband however would say more than a little...about things being clean and the Boathouse was just immaculate. We loved the way Patsi and Brian decorated and appreciated all of the little things they thought of for their guests. The Boathouse made for such a relaxing getaway, and we can't wait to visit again soon. We will also make a point of getting carryout from K'Bella's again. Kristin's food was delicious and it was a perfect choice after arriving fairly late on our first day.
if you are looking for the perfect getaway look no further, the view and fishing from the dock were just what we were looking for,and if you just want to sit on the dock and catch the Ga sun and watch the ocean going ships go by you wont find a better place.Brian and Patsi are perfect host ,friendly and helpful this was our second stay and will return next year,do not wait you will love it.Janet and Jim Haren
The Bosthouse was exactly as described and perfect. And our experience is exactly the same as all other reviews. Lovely decor and amenities, the most comfortable bed I've slept in for a long time! We only wish we'd had more time to spend. The dock is a perfect spot for enjoying a cup of morning coffee and watching the wildlife. We had everything we needed to prepare a meal, if we'd chosen. It's perfectly located between Tybee Island and downtown Savannah to experience both, which we did.
We are putting the Boathouse in our list for a definite return visit. Thanks Brian and Patsi for sharing their boathouse!
My husband and I visited Savannah to celebrate our wedding anniversary for a long weekend, and it was absolutely perfect. The destination was a surprise for me, but I could not have been more pleased.
We walked in to soft music playing and an immaculately clean living space. I immediately noticed the decor and wanted to take every piece home with me. It was a very thoughtful mix of vintage and modern that made me feel right at home.
We dropped our bags and walked out to the dock for a look at the view, and were greeted by the owners who were sun bathing in their back yard themselves. They were so welcoming and hospitable, and offered suggestions for dinner and activities throughout our stay. It's very obvious that they care about their guests' experiences.
The location of the property was ideal for us. It's about only a few minutes from downtown Savannah, and about the same distance to Tybee Island -- you get the best of both worlds while tucked away in your own private space. We were able to spend time walking through the historic city, kayaking in seclusion, and even made it out to the beach at Tybee Island without spending the entire weekend in the car.
Overall, it was a very relaxing, renewing getaway that we so desperately needed. We hope to be back very soon!
Two beach bikes are available for cruising around Whitemarsh Island, Two Ocean Kayaks are waiting on the dock for you to paddle around Richardson Creek and the surrounding marshes, Enjoy Fishing, Crabbing and Swimming from the Deep Water Dock, Park your boat at the floating dock while you enjoy your stay at The Boathouse. Watch the big Ships as they come-in and go-out the Savannah River between Fort Palaski on Cockspur Island & Elba Island near Downtown Savannah from the dock.
