About Laura or Greg Lukasik

Greg and Laura are both architects by training and fell in love with the view, so they decided to build their dream house there in 2009. We are now expatriates living in Vietnam with our 2 boys, where Greg is Managing Director for a construction materials subsidiary of a multinational company.

We return to our villa frequently during the year and hope that you will enjoy this little piece of peaceful paradise as much as we do!

An outstanding holiday in this villa!

  • 5 of 5

My family (including 3 children) spent a week last July at this beautiful villa, and we had an exceptional time there! To begin, the owners were very helpful and transparent about the rental process, and we had a warm welcome gift at arrival. The property matched everything we expected from the advertisement. It is ideally located, very close to the old town of Avignon and within close driving range of major Provence tourism spots. The villa's amenities were excellent, very modern, and the quietness and spectacular (unique really) views from the house are memorable. We enjoyed the pool, garden and eating outside on the terrasse everyday. Sleeping comfort was very good too - a great combination of rest and enjoying life in Provence! I would recommend this unique villa to anyone seeking a memorable holiday!

Great view in a quiet neighbourhood.

  • 5 of 5

The villa was very comfortable and well appointed. We walked to the Carrefour every day for supplies. We used the outdoor area and had BBQ's around the pool. Avignon was a short bus ride away and the location was great for day trips to the surrounding countryside.

The villa suited our three couples, as there were a few living areas where all members of our party could relax and have quiet time if needed. The master bedroom was large with a lovely ensuite. The others shared the second bathroom, but conveniently there was also a separate toilet.

We were greeted by Cathy on arrival and all went smoothly. We were also grateful for the prompt responses to our emails from Gregory and Laura. WiFi was a bonus and worked well for all of us.

There were a couple of occasions where we ran the hot water supply low because of the number of guests, but we learned to be more careful with the length of our showers.

We had a great time and couldn't have been happier with our accommodation. We would definitely book it again if travelling to this part of France!

Great location and stunning view!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I, our two children (ages 5 and 7), and my parents stayed here for a week. The house is beautiful, well stocked, and walking distance to a market. The rooms were tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We took many day trips - Avignon was only 10 minutes by car and Bedoin (famous Monday Market) was about 45 minutes away.

It was is the perfect rental for two families to share. The master suite had a huge walk in closet and private bathroom. Our children squealed with delight when they discovered their room had children's toys for them to enjoy during our stay. There was even an office/bedroom that I used to do some work during our stay. The wifi worked wonderfully, which made working easy.

The kitchen was spacious and allowed us to cook meals as a family. We even used the Weber BBQ outside a couple of times. The kitchen had all of the amenities that I could have asked for as a cook. One tip for families traveling from the states: bring your own cloth shopping bags. I brought one, but I wished I had brought a few as the store charges for plastic bags and they are not as comfortable to hold when walking the short distance back to the rental.

As nice as the house was, the backyard was definitely the highlight of this beautiful rental. Our kids enjoyed hours in the pool swimming each and every day. In fact, it was hard to get them out of the pool in the evenings! The back yard has a grassy area, a gorgeous collection of lavender bushes, and an incredible view of Villeneuve les Avignon and the fort there. Our kids enjoyed walking through the lavender to look at all of the insects and at night we sat on the lounge chairs enjoying the sunset with a glass of wine in hand.

I have to thank Gregory and Laura for responding so quickly to my emails. The World Cup was on and I was having trouble accessing the channel. Within an hour of sending my email, Gregory had responded and I was able to watch the games! I appreciate how quick he was to respond to every email I sent.

Fantastic rental with responsive renters!

Lovely stay in gorgeous location

  • 5 of 5

We were three adults and a baby - a first family holiday together with help from my mum.

The property was lovely, well maintained, with everything you could need and views to die for. The information provided was thorough, accurate and everything you could need. The local pizza restaurant, while looking unassuming, does indeed make delicious pizzas!

We loved the location, the space, the vista, being on the edge of a quiet residential area with supermarket moments away but with an uninterrupted view of Avignon and beyond.

Although early in the season and with variable weather, we enjoyed the pool, pool area and BBQ. Most rooms open up onto the pool area which was a lovely touch.

The interior is very well laid out and equipped for formal dining or casual relaxing. An impressive collection of toys too in the children's room.

We had a fabulous stay and would highly recommend this venue for families. It's a great base in its own right and for exploring Avignon and beyond. We were very happy.

Superb Location, Lovely Villa

  • 5 of 5

We had a great holiday at this fantastic villa. From the greeting on the arrival day to the farewell on departure. Although we did not speak a lot of French we could communicate well with our hosts, everything about the villa was explained well and we were made to feel welcome. The villa it's self was very clean and spacious. Views from the garden overlooking Avignon were a delight day and night. As a large family group the villa suited our needs, children's toys in the bedroom were a great hit. the pool area was a good size with areas to get in the shade if required, which was good for the children. The added benefit of the pool cover meant that did not have to worry about the children in the pool area if the cover was on. Gregory was very helpful during the booking process, answering all of our questions promptly. Local supermarket and bakery were a few minuets walk away meaning you did not have go far for anything. local area is fantastic, the adults wished we had more time to explore!. A trip to the popes palace and castle is a must. A trip to the coast is a bit of drive, but well worth it. We went to Saints Maries de la Mer which had great shallow areas created using rocks. One word of warning be careful where you park we parked in what we thought was a free car park off the main road and got a parking ticket from the municipal police in Saints Maries. Although annoyed to start with, it was nothing to how annoyed we got trying to pay the fine. It could not be paid at the police station, but rather you have to pay by cheque (from French bank account) or buy a timbre fiscal stamp, stick on the slip and post using normal postage stamp. We eventually found out that the timbre fiscal stamps could only be purchased from a tabac store. However ten tabac stores later still no stamp, as they did not sell them. We did eventually find a tabac/cafe near the flying horses ride in Avignon which did sell them! Be warned although our fine was only 13 euro it would have doubled if not paid within 45 days. Depending on the severity of the fine you could end up paying 325 euro and if not paid your hire car company WILL pay it and charge a fee. As you may be able to tell, this did spoil a great holiday. Having 3 young children in our group we only ate out once at the aubergine restaurant which was lovely and did children's food as well, wished we had gone again. In summery, great villa, great location, great holiday, watch where you park!

Magnifique propriété idéalement située

  • 4 of 5

The Festival d'Avignon, a world-renown dynamic and diverse Arts and Theater festival, boasts hundreds of productions and many more fringes in the stunning mediaval city during the month of July.

Villeneuve-les-Avignon town center is 5 min away from our villa. Avignon is 8 min drive. Nimes and Isle-sur-la-Sorgue are 30 min. Aix-en-Provence is 50 min.

Of all the regions of France, Provence is one of the most irresistible, renown for its mild winters and long summer days.

Whether you are interested in wine (Chateauneuf du Pape, Gigondas and Cotes du Rhone), history (Avignon, Orange, Pont du Gard), natural history (Luberon National Park with its famous villages, Mont Ventoux, Camargue), art (Cezanne orginally comes from Aix en Provence, Van Gogh is associated with Arles), sport (something for everyone, including the internationally renowned ascent of the Mont Ventoux on your bike!) or food, there is something for everyone.

Coast/Beaches of Carry le Rouet, Cassis and Saintes Maries de la Mer are all within 100km, with mostly motorway access.

Golf of Châteaublanc is 15 km away. So is the Golf Grand Avignon. Other golf courses in the area include Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (30km)

Many places have cultural festivals including Opera in Aix en Provence and Orange, theatre in Avignon and Jazz/piano in La Roque d'Antheron during the summer months.

Villeneuve-les-Avignon is a lovely Provencal village where you can buy your baguette and croissants at one of the two local boulangeries, meat and staples at the small supermarket, mouth watering cakes and chocolates at the patisserie, and delicious fruit and vegetables from the farmers market held on Thursday mornings. Avignon and Villeneuve have many authentic restaurants and cafes. L'Isle sur la Sorgue, Le Pont-du-Gard, St-Remy de Provence, les Baux-de-Provence and Nimes with their antiques market, restaurants, watermills are all about 40 min away.
