Quebec City Condo Rental Photos and Description

1 BR Condo (sleeps 4 adults & 1 child)

As one of our guests once said about this condo, 'charming' is an understatement! Very cozy, spacious and nicely furnished loft, about 1,000 sq.ft. within the city walls. Fully equipped kitchen, washer & dryer. Lots of character with stone and brick walls, original pine floors, cathedral ceiling, exposed beams, on third and top floor of building. Queen size sofa bed in living room. Bedroom on mezzanine with queen size bed, walk-in closet, computer desk and chair. Cable and hi-speed wireless Internet. This natural light-filled corner unit with direct view on the Laurentians, Esplanade Park and the National Assembly is only steps away from the Plains of Abraham and close to everything.

This magnificent property was purchased four years ago. Acquiring it was nothing short of a dream come true. The condo is located in a heritage building that dates back to 1834-35, when it was built for a wealthy businessman by the name of Henry Atkinson. The exterior is made of the Sillery-Cap-Rouge sandstone that now forms part of the Québec fortifications and the walls of the Citadel and that was used to restore the Saint-Jean Gate in 1938.

The property is very comfortable, charming and the location couldn't be better. Experiencing Québec City and the surroundings is really worth the trip. I look forward to welcoming you here. Until then, please check out my Reviews section for the numerous positive comments received from guests over the last four years.

Being just steps to everything while enjoying the privacy of this property overlooking L'Esplanade Park is something you will truly value. And who wouldn't like waking up to the sound of horses' hooves on the cobblestone, or seeing a groundhog during a morning walk on the Plains of Abraham just around the corner! In addition, those who like to stay connected while getting a breath of fresh air will be happy to know that there are Wi-Fi hot spots for free Internet access in multiple sectors of the Plains of Abraham.

Heaven in Vieux Quebec

We were so pleased with the condo from the moment we walked in, we felt at home. Pictures of the condo do not do it justice. It was walking distance to everything happening in the old city during the music festival. It was the perfect Old Quebec Experience. We would highly recommend it.
It was a phenomenal experience. Just what we had been hoping for since we were staying for a full month.

My wife and I just returned from a months stay in this property. I will be brief, but want to confirm that what has been said in previous reviews is true. It is the "Creme de la Creme."

Our stay in Quebec City

This was our first visit to Quebec City. We were here to visit our daughter who is here for the year. The apartment was perfect, everything we needed to feel at home. Location couldn't have been better with proximity to attractions, shopping and out of city access. Despite the cold weather outside, the apartment was always warm and welcoming. We would have absolutely no reservation about recommending this as a place to stay.

Saying goodbye to Québec

  • Submitted: Nov 13, 2012

Thank you Odette for opening your absolutely lovely condo to guests such as us. We are very much enjoying our stay in your beautiful condo. Everything is perfection... decor, accoutrements, location, and of course the views from each window! And each day of exploring Quebec brings new delights... This ‘home away from home’ is perfect. Our time here was full of new experiences and new tastes. We loved walking the cobblestone streets, and exploring the many wonderful ancient buildings. We toured the National Assembly, Museum of Beaux-Arts, the Museum of Civilization, we walked the wall and the Governor’s Promenade almost every day, we biked along the St. Lawrence and ferried across to the Levis bike path, always stopping to take in the beautiful views. We heard the wonderful Swingle Singers at Palais Montcalm and attended a cello recital at the Conservatory of Music. And tastes! Rabbit Pie and Planked Salmon at Lapin Sauté, Duck Confit at L’Entrecote, Venison Tartare at Panache, crepes at Le Billig, Salmon Coulibiac and pheasant at Aux Anciens Canadiens, Poutine [why not!] at Chez Victor, gourmet dinners at Chez Boulay and Pain Béni, luncheon at the Frontenac and the Parliament and so much more!!

There is a lot to do in Québec City: outdoor ice skating at Place d'Youville or on the newly opened ice rink on the Plains of Abraham, also a nice place for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and rollerskating. And in the close surroundings, there is petanque, archery, hebertism and treetop games, hang-gliding and skydiving. Other attractions and amenities include: outdoor public swimming pool, waterpark, bicycle rental, horse-drawn carriages (at your doorstep); the Image Mill, boat cruises, etc. Enjoy a bicycle ride on one of the many cycle paths in and around Québec City. Even take your bicycle on the Québec-Lévis ferry and follow the path along the St. Lawrence River to capture the most spectacular views of Québec, stop by the marina to quench your thirst and have lunch or pick a place for picnic and enjoy the view. Montmorency Falls and Île d'Orléans are two must-see places. For more information, you should visit the Tourist Bureau, located at 12 rue Ste-Anne, right across from Château Frontenac. The Tourist Bureau (Centre Infotouriste) is open every day from 9:00 to 5:00 except December 25 and January 1.

The area has several parks which make perfect playgrounds for outdoor enthusiasts. In winter, everything becomes enchanted and the snowy Old Québec looks like fairyland! Open the old pupil desk in the living room and dig out an abundance of maps and guidebooks to help you get started on all the fun things to do during your stay.
