I stayed with my wife at the studio in Marais for 4 days during our honeymoon trip and this place exceeded my expectations. The property was clean, well maintained, had free wifi, phone, coffee machine, washer and much more. It had everything we needed for our stay. The bed converted to a couch but was actually extremely comfortable. On top of that we received excellent service from Henry, who met us at the apartment to give us our key. He was great, more than willing to help with any travel trips and with anything we needed in the studio. The paperwork aspect of the rental was also very smooth. Nancy made everything easy and was very good about about keeping in touch and making sure I had all the paperwork in a timely manner. I definitely recommend this property and I am sure any of Nancy's/Henry's properties are just as great.
First of all, "little" is the key word. If you are a large person, find another apartment. The lift door is14.5” wide & the lift itself is 15.5” x 40”. The bathroom is 32” wide, the sink is opposite the door, and the distance between the sink and the door is 18”. If you’re looking for a plush, luxurious apartment, keep looking. BUT if you want an apartment you will probably grow to love, this is the one!
The owners have wisely spent their resources on things that matter. The bathroom is bright and beautiful, and the shower is surprisingly roomy. The appliances are of good quality and work perfectly. Even the little sofa folds out into an amazingly comfortable bed. We had to turn on the heat a couple of times, and we were toasty warm in minutes. Much thought went into maximum utilization of the space. The apartment is quiet and secure. Henry, one of the owners, lives a few steps down the hall and is friendly and helpful. The Metro (Republique) is nearby, as are shops and restaurants.
Am almost nervous about posting a glowing review because I want this apartment to be available to me the next time I visit. That said, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay on the Rue de Turenne. The apartment was spotless, silent and bright. The decor is spare and simple, but as it is a small space I appreciated the fact that it wasn't over decorated as some rentals are. The bed, whilst a futon, was comfortable and the shower was strong and hot. It is on the top floor and faces the courtyard so there is very little noise. What more do you need? Ah yes, the location! Excellent. The neighborhood felt extremely safe (and I was a woman traveling alone) and is a stone's throw from a bounty of fantastic (non touristy) restaurants. The Rue de Bretagne just a block away has all manner of gourmet markets and amenities. The building is just two blocks away from two award winning bakeries, Poilane and 134RdT! The most delicious bread and croissants one could imagine. One can walk to the Marais and the Seine easily, but it is also close to two metros. My only (tiny) word of caution is that the elevator is smaller than a coffin. Seriously, you can't wear a backpack in it. Other than that - this petite studio will very much meet the needs of a single traveler or couple looking for an affordable, simple retreat in a great neighborhood.
Me and my wife stayes at the appartment for 8 nights and had a great time.
the location of the appartment is very convinient its located near 3 metro stations(walking distance of 5-10 minutes). The street and the neibouhood is very quite ans thers a lot of tourists at the area. We felt really safe to walk there at night. Bakery and food market very nearby. The buidind is very well maintained and clean, witg a doorman and generally very pleasent.
The appartment is not too big but arranged very convinietlly, all the ellectric devices worked exellent including the internet. We felt just like home.
The correspondence with Nancy was very effective, she answered all our questions very fast and coherent.
Next time we will go to paris we will defenetelly stay there again!
Thank you Nancy, we had a great time at your place.
The apartment was functional to our needs, it has everything required to make your stay comfortable, it was clean and had plenty of light shining in through the windows,it is within an old building which has plenty of character and is superbly maintained, keeping a lot of the old features like the staircase and leaded glass, we were greeted by Henri, who was very helpful and full of information regarding Metro and sight seeing.
The apartment was situated close to central Paris, near to the Picasso museum (walking distance 10 mins) and close to other places of interest, Eiffel tower, Louvre, Notredame were close by, easily reached using the Metro jumping on for a few stops.
Overall we were pleased with the apartment and location, with supermarket close by and plenty of Bistro's etc, it was cosy and we would certainly consider booking again.

When I first saw the small ad in our alumni magazine something said this apt is going to be a winner. And it was! The owner could not have been more helpful, he provided additional maps and guide books to supplement mine, suggested sights I had not considered, oriented me to neighborhood shops, and provided an apartment that not only lived up to my expectations, but exceeded them. If (when?) I go to Paris again I fully plan to contact Nancy.
The Marais is the most lively and trendy place in Paris. With a real village life, near the oldest market in Paris, with nouvelle cuisine restaurants, galeries, museums, little old streets....
