Wonderful home! Quiet location. Perfect for my husband and I. Home had all of the amenities we needed. About 15 minutes from the Bourbon Street and the French Quarter. I would recommend a car but, the home is very close to public transportation. Taxi services are also available.
This is a wonderful place to stay! It is exactly as the pictures show. The location is ideal for all attractions and Giselle is great with plenty of suggestions and guides provided onsite. We even walked 2 blocks to the bus and had a short ride to the french quarter. The rental space is clean and cozy with everything you need for a great time! The area is extremely quiet while it appears they are rebuilding. We loved our stay in New Orleans and would definitely recommend and come back to Gentilly house in the future.
We stayed at this house as an alternative to the overpriced quarter...it was really cute and clean. The bed was very comfy! The owner is sweet. The neighborhood is fine, still rebuilding a bit but nothing to be concerned about and the neighbors were friendly. Definitely would plan to take the bus to the quarter and a cab home, parking was 25 for three hours! I would recommend this property.
Giselle was so nice and has a wonderful home set up for anyone who wants to stay there. It was a better experience than staying at a hotel for sure. The neighborhood is very quiet and extremely close to the French Quarter. Our stay was much more relaxed and enjoyable because we had this little home to come back to everyday. Would definitely try to stay here again if we come back to New Orleans!
This beats a hotel any day! Minutes drive into anywhere you want to go in the French Quarter, Riverwalk, Superdome, and the airport. Quiet neighborhood. Parking right in front. Every necessity you want when you're on vacation. The rate was unbelievable too! Too good to be true…well it's TRUE! Thank you Giselle! Wish we could've met in person but I dont think this will be the last you'll hear from us!
This cottage felt like home. Very spacious, clean and well stocked. The owner is very nice & friendly, always available to give directions and location advice. Coming home every evening was a joy because of the quiet comfortable atmosphere. The bed was the BEST! My husband has back issues and this bed is very comfortable. We highly recommend this cottage to any couple who wants to get away and learn New Orleans. We drove so we were able to get around very easily. We were minutes from The French Quarter, Frenchman ST, The Museum and New Orleans school of cooking. Be sure to cross the ferry and drive through the area, lots of architecture to admire. I hope you have as wonderful a time as we did celebrating our 24th Wedding Anniversary. Hope to come back soon.
