This two bedroom, two bath was recently redecorated is located off Rt. 3 and Calle RT.193. It is ocean front on the tenth floor of Building Two in the gated community of Playa Azul. It is an easy 35 to 45 min. drive from Luis Munoz Marin Airport. Every window and the balcony offers an incredible, breathtaking, panoramic view that starts at the pool and pans out to the beach and beautiful blue ocean. The El Yunquee Rainforest forest can be seen when leaving the apartment.
This spacious 1050 square foot tenth floor ocean view unit is well equipped to enjoy your stay. This unit sleeps a maximum of 4 people. The master bedroom has Queen size bed. The second bedroom has two twin beds that can be pushed together to create a Queen Size bed.
Watch the amazing sunrise from the balcony that faces Playa Azul Beach. The unit is within walking distance to the Famous Luqillo Beach, restaurants, stores and supermarket. To the right you can walk to the unspoiled 'La Selba' beach. A 15 min drive will bring you to the world famous Conquistador Hotel, Casino and Red Door spa. Also in this area is the marina with the ferry to the islands of Culebras and Viejiques as well as boats that will take you to the many cays and small islands to scuba and snorkel. There are other casinos nearby, as well as many great restaurants within walking distance, like Pasta Y Pueblo, Café Miramar, The Brass Cactus, Guava's and King Seafood. There are also many fast food places like, McDonald's, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Subway and Williams Pizza. There are several golf courses within a short drive.
The rainforest with its beautiful waterfalls is five minutes away where you can hike and zip line. Horseback riding is also locally available. There is more information in the unit.
We stayed at this place for a week with our two kids. Apartment is very nice - exactly as shown in photos - very roomy, good layout, and a big balcony with great ocean view. Furniture is mostly new and nice, kitchen and bathrooms are dated but perfectly functional and very clean. The beach in front of this complex is great, and not too crowded even on weekends. On weekdays it can be almost empty at times. One grudge - they close the gate leading to the beach promptly at 7 pm. so to get to or from the beach at night we had to walk all the way around the complex. If you travel with kids and looking for a beach with no waves at all I recommend Luquillo beach which is just to the west, or the Seven Seas beach in Fajardo- about 15 minutes car ride. Both are excellent, calm and mostly empty on weekdays (but crawling with people on weekends). Area around appears somewhat scruffy but we never felt unsafe. Locals are very friendly and helpful. Plenty of stores and fast food places, and of course the Kioskos at the Luquillo beach with all kinds of great local food. For dinner you can drive to San Juan with huge variety of great places to eat. Luquillo is a perfect location for an active vacation, close to everything - El Yunke, San Juan, great beaches, and Fajardo marinas. We had great time there and I already look forward to go back to PR.
