CHARMING 2-STORY FLAT WITH STUNNING VIEWS, ACROSS FROM LOVELY PARK

Large sized 2 bedroom apt. located in Islington. Bus stop right outside door to take you close to Angel tube station. Large very functional kitchen and large dining table for 6-8 people.
Must be able to climb flights of staris as apt is upstairs in bulding and also has a flight of stairs within the flat. Owner is very friendly and accomodating. Price is excellent for London! Many shops, pubs, grocery store within walking distance.
Would certainly rent again.

We stayed 1 week in the apartment and had an excellent time. The actual apartment perfectly matches the description given on the site by the owner. Our group (4 adults) had ample room to relax and kick back after long days of sightseeing. The layout is perfect with the common rooms (living/dining room + kitchen) on the bottom floor and the 2 bedrooms with bathroom on the top floor. Word of caution: this apartment may not be suited for families with small children or seniors as the stairs are steep and somewhat slipery. For us, it worked perfectly. The location is not right in the centre of London (1 stop from St. Pancras on Picadilly line) but the underground is very close and easily accessible. We did all our grocery shopping at the 2 stores right accross the street from the underground station (Caledonian Road). Very convenient and both stores are open late at night. We did not experience the restaurants around the apartment so I cannot comment on this. We did try the couple pubs right around and both are great.
The apartment was clean and had an ample supply of linen (sheets, bath towels). The kitchen had all the necessary plates, glasses... and we all thought that cooking in genuine copper pots and pans was a treat. Of note, there is no dishwasher in the apartment so get prepared to do your own dishes and the combination fridge/freezer is rather small by US standards. It was challenging to store food for 4 people in the fridge but then again you can shop everyday on your way back (see above).
Right accross the street is a lovely park with outdoors ping-pong tables, basketball hoops and playground equipment for children. Very safe and clean.
The owner was a delight to work with and responded promptly to all our questions both before and during the trip.
We had a great time and would go again anytime.

A friend and I stayed in the flat for a month while attending a class in London. We loved both it and the neighborhood. Its very convenient to several Underground stations and easy walking distant to nearby pubs and local grocery stores. Be sure to try The Famous Cock pub next to the Highbury & Islington tube station!

It was clean and welcoming with a great eclectic style with plenty of room. Lots of windows and a couple skylights let in lots of light and are wonderful to leave open for fresh air and to hear the sounds of the neighborhood. The two bedrooms are cozy and comfortable on the same floor as the sleek modern bath. The colorful kitchen was great to cook in with plenty of pots and utensils for your use.

Derek (the owner) was awesome to deal with both in planning our stay and while we were there. He was always quick to answer any questions. I would definitely recommend this flat to everyone!
