We stayed a few nights. Apartment is just as described. Very close to everything. And quiet. Would highly recommend..
We just stayed a few days in this little apartment. It was very clean and cozy, We found it to be exactly as described. We loved the proximity to the pedestrian bridge and all of downtown. I loved the front windows and all the natural light. The beds were comfortable and nice linens were provided. The owners were good to work with.
We could not have asked for a better experience in renting this apartment! The location is private and just a short walk to the river and parks; the apartment manager went out of her way to be accommodating to us and the apartment itself was clean and had character.
I can't believe I had even considered staying in a hotel. There is nothing in North Chatty that would have been a better deal. Besides the reasonable price and great setting we had a washer/dryer, a full kitchen with pots/pans/etc, a great deck with a view of the city, extra towels, outdoor grills/seating, multiple televisions, multiple sleeping options, and plenty of privacy!
Next time I visit Chattanooga, I will not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you for everything!!!
Don't stay at a hotel! Stay here and pay the same price... and you're within a 2 block walk of all of the hip North Shore hang outs and restaurants and a 2 minute walk from Coolidge Park. I almost discounted this place because of the negative reviews about "uneven floors" and the "age of the property". No big deal! The floors are fine and the home has all of the modern conveniences you need-full kitchen, nice washer and dryer, very comfortable beds, and a comfy living room. It was myself, my husband, and our two small children and we were very comfortable. Having the two bedrooms was so much better that being squished in a small hotel room. The owner was very attentive and easy to get a hold of and even let us check out late in the afternoon as our flight didn't leave until the evening! We will definitely be staying here again when we visit out family in Chattanooga and have already recommended this place to others!
After searching numerous hotels within walking distance of the aquarium, we stumbled on to this apartment. It's just a block from the Walnut Street Bridge and Coolidge Park. The location could not have been more perfect, especially for the price. Also, if you walk everywhere, it saves on gas and parking. If you want something low cost and near to everything, look no further.
There are a few minor draw backs, but were absolutely no where near a deal breaker. First, the apartment is an older building (built in 1929) so there are a few building issues. The floor is slightly uneven in a few spots (nothing major at all), the walls are thin and sound travels freely (you can hear the people upstairs walking clearly), and many of the doors slightly stick when you open and close them. Also, we discovered that the garbage truck dumps the dumpster outside at 5 AM on Fridays, and it's quite loud. The apartment is on a slightly steep hill, so if you have trouble getting up/down inclines, you might need to know. That's honestly all the issues we ran into, and these were really very minor, but you should know of them before renting.
We stayed there with a 2 year old and a 4 year old with no issues. Both rooms have queen sized beds that mostly fill the rooms, although we had enough room to open up a pack-n-play beside the bed in the back room. There are LCD TVs in both bedrooms and living room with digital cable on all 3. The internet didn't work while we were there, but it was an issue with Comcast, not the property owners. It wasn't an issue for us as we had a wireless hotspot device.
I highly recommend this for small/medium size families looking to stay in Chattanooga on a budget. It's a clean, well kept apartment that is a great location and at an amazingly good price!
I have stayed in this apartment several times in the past year because my daughter lives on Frazier Avenue. I found this little apartment to be perfect for me. It is very close to Frazier Avenue stores and restaurants, the park, the walking bridge and the river. There is a grocery store, drug store and convenience store within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone traveling to Chattanooga who is looking for a clean and convenient place. The owners are awesome and were always very responsive to my needs. You can't beat it for the price!
