Great Location but lots of problems
We stayed in this property for one month. It is very small but we did not need a large space anyway so that was ok. We were however, very discouraged that there were no drawers for any of our clothes and the closets were pretty full of other "stuff" so not a lot of room even for hanging clothes. We went and bought temporary storage units for our folding clothes. Not a great expense, but an awful inconvenience.
The ceilings have water stains on them, however we did not experience any leakage while we were there. One of the most disturbing things was the windows! They would not open! It was such a shame because the weather was so nice that we could have saved the owner a lot of money by not using the air conditioning. It would have been nice to have some wine glasses. We bought some and left them there.
The second "bedroom" was little more than a large closet, though it did have two "beds". We used it as a dressing room and room for our luggage since the bathroom was so small that you could not possibly dress in it.
The chairs on the deck were so rusted that my husband got paint and painted them!
Overall, this property is just not well cared for. The floor in the living room is not level and the outside gutters are in disrepair.
The WiFi worked beautifully and the TVs were fine. We did have problems with the bedroom TV at first but that was cleared up for us right away.
The wonderful point of this property is the LOCATION! It's perfect!
We will be staying in Chattanooga again next year for a month or more and hope to find a place close by that is in better repair.

Owner's Response: Hey there, I have tried to say this in a nice way before, but unfortunately I think digital folks forget that there are still nice business people in the world, who don't mind talking on the phone. Some folks don't understand constructive criticism is what makes my business world go around. Look we take all criticisms constructively and as a healthy sign of progress; this guest was right, not sure why they didn't just pick up the phone and call us but that's what makes our digital world go around I guess .
Here's what I've addressed; my stuff has been cleaned out of all the closets, we've added a hanging storage drawer from lowes in each closet, we've kiles painted the ceiling but they still might be a little rough (we try to stress to folks this isn't the ritz, it's a cozy but very little apt that my folks stay in when they visit me :-). We've added wine glasses (not sure why I hadn't thought about this in the last two years because I drink wine too, shame on me ).
The second bedroom is small but I plan to take the two beds out and put in a queen because the two beds do make it seem so small . It's 10' x 10'.
The windows are painted shut, a classic move by the former owner and I just can't do anything about this problem right now, plus it gets so hot in Chattanooga, almost no one opens windows anymore. Bugs are another reason why this fact about my little apts doesn't bother me.
I'm very thankful the guests did paint my old chairs but we've since replaced those with a couple of lawn chairs from lowes.
And the floors are terribly out of level but I bought the place that way and decided not to tear it down because I was building other houses (I built the house next door to these two little apts) .
I hope this guest reads my response and gives us another look next time she's in town. I'll try to get a few more folks to write their reviews since I've made these changes and repairs but as always we appreciate constructive criticism.
I can't promise that I'll ask how high every time but I sure will listen up :-)
