We are in the old town of Borgarnes. Cozy studio apartment in a old house that has been renewed. Just an hour drive from the capital Reykjavik. Near are restaurants and museums. The settlement centre, Landnamssetur and Edda' s world. The Dússabar restaurant down the street. The sportcenter with swimming pool and hot tubs and steam bath. The park, Skallagrimsgardur, where the settler and Viking, Skallagrimur Kveldulfsson is buried. Just a 40 minutes drive to Reykholt and the glacier Eiriksjokull. Excellent location to go sightseeing in Snaefellsnes, the national park, going fishing or hiking in Icelandic mountains and Aurora Borelis in winter. Near the town Borgarnes are several golf courses, you can go horseback or hiking or fishing.

Golf: Just outside Borgarnes is an 18 hole golf course run by Golfklúbbur Borgarnes. The Golf course Hamar. There are several golf courses in Borgarfjordur valley but the Hamar is the biggest one. There is a beautiful landscape and good accommodation for golfers.
Ski: The skiing area in Bláfjöll near Reykjavík are only 100 km away.
