My husband is an architect and I am a graphic designer. We've raise two kids on the Hill and now they are off to college. We've lived in this neighborhood for over 25 years and absolutely love it!

Capitol Hill is our home. We love it and know you will too!
Capitol Hill is a wonderful neighborhood full of pocket parks and beautiful old homes. Beyond the monuments and museums there is another side to Washington. It's a wonderful family neighborhood and a vibrant community with small businesses. We love walking to Eastern Market on the weekends to get fresh fruits and veggies. Don't miss the fresh pasta! We take a stroll through the flea market visiting our favorite vendors and then sit with a good cup of coffee and watch the world go by.
I love to cook and we both love to eat! Washington has lots of restaurants with every possible ethnic variety available. H Street, NE just a few minutes away has many nice options from Asian to Ethiopian to Belgian. On 8th Street SE you will find great burgers, seafood and homemade pop tarts.
We love to walk and have recently given up our car. The public transportation options are so plentiful we just didn't need it anymore. You can go by Metro, bus, or Bikeshare. If you need a car for a few hours Zipcars are plentiful and close by. If you need a car for a day trip car rental options are plentiful at Union Station. and for those who come to DC by car there is off street parking at Union Station a 10 minute walk away.
Very nice apartment and location. The Metro is only a 10 min walk which was so convenient and if we weren't there in January we actually could have walked to many places. The apartment was nicely furnished and kitchen well stocked. My daughter was doing an internship there for 3 weeks and as we are not from the area Monica was very helpful in providing some advice.
Really nice appartment with everything necessary to have a wonderful vacation. Our family of 4 spent a few days in Washington DC feeling very comfortable there. The owner is also a really nice and responsive person that cared about our stay to the detail.
Could not have asked for a better property. Our party consisted of 4 thirty year olds in town for a wedding. We wanted something close to the metro but also something within walking distance to the major sightseeing sites. This place was perfect. Plenty of room, adorable and spotless apartment, awesome neighborhood with cute shops (cafe Berlin and Union Pub were awesome), and a quick walk to union station! The owner was really easy to reach and flexible! When you call her, you actually speak to her, not some company that manages the property! (A vrbo rarity) We were more than please and will be back!
This place was outstanding! Very clean and comfortable. The rooms were super nice as was the bathroom. We stayed for several days and had a blast in DC. This place is close to Union Station which was nice for traveling purposes. Will stay here again for sure!
My husband and I were here with our toddler son to visit friends and sightsee. The location was perfect-within walking distance of most attractions, and very close to Union Station for those not as close by (or for those not feeling up to walking). Apartment was clean, well furnished, and well stocked. The only negative was that it was the bottom floor of the building, and there was quite a bit of noise from upstairs. Overall, a great stay, and we look forward to coming back sometime!
My wife, 7 month old and I stayed in this unit. It was an excelelnt expereince and one we hope to return to in the future. A short walk to Union station, the capital, and Supreme Court. Moncia was extermely helpful as were the women living upstairs.
