Boundary Road in West End has a shopping precinct where you can find everything from designer clothes to bulk produce. There is also the West End Markets with all you would expect to find in a shopping centre. There are plenty of great dining options in and around West End. If you are looking for a local cafe, take-away, pub or restaurant you will find it here.
West End is close to Brisbane's CBD but, because it's separated by the river and accessed by bridges, it feels a hundred miles away. The pace of life is different in West End. Time seems to travel a bit more slowly.
There is nothing like it - it is close to everything, whether you just want a coffee, a meal or would even like to shop, it has everything. There is a buzz in there air when walking through West End - especially down Boundary Street. Words really can't describe its atmosphere...

This was a fantastic place to stay, extremely clean and well appointed. Plenty of room for a number of people to stay with a lovely communal living area and back verandah. Even though the house is only a stone's throw from heaps of great cafes, bars and restaurants (West End is a very characterful and fab part of Brisbane) the street was very quiet, especially overnight. Nick and Desi were very great hosts, downstairs in case there were any issues but very discreet. They helped us with our luggage and were extremely approachable for anything that we needed help with. The house is only about 15 minutes walk from South Bank and there are plenty of transport options, with the bus going past the end of the street. Would definitely stay here again.
