Lann Kerhuerh is a charming hamlet, which includes a magnificent 18th Century Gentleman’s residence and a 17th Century Longere, tastefully converted into 2 spacious houses. The self-catering houses and heated pool are set in 4.5 acres of parkland on a south-facing slope overlooking the valley of the River Tarun. The property is within easy reach of the Gulf of Morbihan, the historic cities of Josselin, Auray and Vannes, five excellent golf courses, numerous walks and cycles paths, and popular fishing rivers.

The Farmhouse combines luxurious accommodation with old world charm, and sleeps 12 in 6 bedrooms, with 3 bathrooms. The Farmhouse has a fully-equipped kitchen including oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, with spectacular views over the valley. The spacious sitting and dining rooms contain large fireplaces and exposed oak beams, with glass doors leading onto a large south-facing terrace. There is a barbecue and ample seating for outdoor meals. First Floor - There are 2 twin bedrooms, one double bedroom and one bathroom. Second Floor - There is one double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, one twin bedroom, one double bedroom and one bathroom. The house is equipped with a TV/Video player receiving French & UK channels, DVD player and a CD/Radio Cassette player.

Carnac has the largest site of standing stones in W.Europe & the lively sailing community of La Trinité-Sur-Mer has regular regattas & wonderful seafood restaurants. There are many established walking, cycling & horse riding circuits to enjoy the rich Breton countryside. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy 5 quality courses in the area. The Blavet has several canoe/kayak facilities along its length & miles of unspoilt riverbank for fishing.

This Old Farmhouse Property was excellently located for exploring the local areas and providing a tranquil retreat after very adventurous days. The Property is very spacious and provided a good layout for numerous people to share ,without imposing on each other .
The Pool provided entertainment and relaxation for all concerned .James and Marianne Greated us on arrival and waved goodbye on our departure and provided us with valued information as to areas to visit.

A superb family holiday

We enjoyed a fantastic family holiday - our 4 children had a blast, with night-lit swimming in the pool and a lovely setting. The owners (who are adjacent but very discreet yet attentive, which is great) are relaxed, friendly, helpful and full of advice of events, restaurants and points of interest locally. The farm next door offers occassional interesting aromas, but really this is all part of being in the country and a real working environment. Not a problem!

The Gite was really well presented, spotlessly clean and exactly as described, relaxing to be in and the outside area tops for eating and barbeques when the weather was good - which was most of the time.

Some roads to the South get REALLY busy at peak times and it's worth taking local advice to avoid significant time in traffic queues, but avoid the peak times and there's no problem. Though we found our Satnav with road avoidance useful at peak times for the South Brittany coast towns...

The location is picturesque and rural, and so a car is essential.But there's lots to do and everyone we found friendly and welcoming. We will, I am sure, return to this Gite to enjoy another summer holiday. Thoroughly recommended!
