La Fuente is our authentic Moorish house of both charm and much character, situated within the heart of the conservation quarter of Vejer, regarded the most picturesque of the “pueblo blancos” in all of Andalucia. Our apartment forms the convenient ground floor of the property and can be approached by duel entrances; one through a typical Spanish courtyard full of flowering pots, and the other from the cobbled front “camino”. From both bedrooms there are stunning uninterrupted views over the lovely surrounding countryside in the valley below for which Vejer is noted, and although quietly located, the apartment is arguably one of the best situated, being within 300 metres of the lovely Plaza Espana with its decorative ceramic tiled fountain. Breathtaking views over the bay and along the Straits of Gibraltar to the hills of Morocco are a minute’s walk in the opposite direction. The accommodation has been sympathetically modernized over the past few years and features newly tiled floors

Vejer de la Frontera is a small, perfectly conserved historic town, which has been granted the status of an Area of Historic and Artistic Interest and has also won the Beautiful Town of Spain award. Also surrounded by lovely countryside, the fabulous natural beaches are within 7 kilometres which are either bordered by a backcloth of sand dunes or pine trees. The apartment is a short stroll from the Plaza Espana, Vejer's focal point. The surrounding area has excellent watersports (surfing at El Palmar, windsurfing, kite surfing and scuba diving) and the region is renowned as a cycling and walking destination. Excellent fishing can be enjoyed, both freshwater and sea. Montenmedio offers world class golf and horse-riding, hosting a number of international competitions in this picturesque location just a few minutes drive. The fabulous cities of Seville, Cadiz and Jerez are within easy reach. Day trips can be made in Tangier (a short ferry from Tarifa) and to Gibraltar.

La Fuente is managed a local English-speaking lady who has many years of experience in estate agency and lettings management in Vejer. Maria Luisa will call you prior to your stay to arrange a time to meet you at the apartment, and will be on hand throughout should you need anything.
