We are close to Sea-Tac Airport, Boeing, Valley Medical Center, Kent Valley Industrial business area, & 30 to 40 minutes from Microsoft & Nintendo on the Eastside. We are ideally located off Hwy 167, close to hwy 18 and near I-5 about 30 minutes from both Seattle,Tacoma & Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Seattle & Tacoma host many museums, theaters, tours, zoos, and other activities for families, couples & singles. We are close to Tiger Mountain Summit, & about 30 minutes from Snoqualmie Summit skiing. There are many other attractions in this area such as hiking, fishing, river rafting, Wild Animal Nature Park, & many other outings. We are also near Snoqualmie and Muckleshoot Casinos. We are within 15 minutes drive of Gene Coulon Park beach on Lake Washington in Renton, & about 20 minutes to Salt Water State Park and Dash Point in Federal Way & Sea Hurst Park Beach in Burien on the Sound. Also within 20 minutes is Wild Waves Waterpark and Enchanted Village in Federal Way. We are about 2 hours from Mount Rainier National Park, & about 3 hours drive to Ocean Shores Beaches.
We are located close to the bus line (4 blocks away) which will take you to Kent Station. From there it is very easy to get to both Seattle and Tacoma on either Light Rail, Sounder Train, or via bus. Kent Station also sports an AMC movie theater, several shops and restaurants, and Show Ware Center which hosts many events & the local hockey team. The Ferries from Seattle can take you over to the Olympic peninsula where there are many enjoyable excursions. The Ferries can also take you up to Vancouver or Victoria BC Canada in about 3 hours.
The home living room has comfortable seating and an entertainment center which has a stock of board games & several DVDs for children (additional movies are available through Red Box which is available about 1 mile), sleeper sofa, and comfy seating. The Family room has comfortable relaxing seating and sleeper sofa also, & a fireplace & ceiling fan for both winter or summer temperatures. Both rooms have televisions with DVD players. The home is equipped with internet Wi-Fi access and Dish satellite TV programming which include free Blockbuster movie downloads (Pay per View Blockbuster movies will be charged as incidentals to the credit card on file for the rental)
The Kitchen is fully stocked with tableware, cookware, bake ware, spices, coffee pot, waffle iron, bread maker, steamer, rice cooker, and pots & pans to accommodate up to 18 people.
Upstairs has a Master bedroom with King Size custom design Iron 4 poster bed that has a 15' deep mattress and is very comfortable. A Sunny window seat provides a nice space to sit and read or look out over the front yard to the lake and listen to the many birds. Master bedroom also has a walk out upper deck with slider where you can sit and enjoy a morning cup or light snack and relax as well. There is also a TV with DVD player available for your enjoyment. Master bedroom also has its own 5 piece bathroom with a extra long deep jetted spa tub and a separate shower for relaxing romantic baths or a quick cleanup, whichever you prefer.
Bedroom 2 has a Queen Size bed with a Custom Oak bed with memory foam mattress topper, which is very comfortable and relaxing. Bedroom 3 has a full bed with memory foam mattress topper also. Bedroom 4 is a convertible bedroom which can be set up either as a King size bed or matching twin beds. There is also a twin pull out trundle in this room. Bedroom 5 is a bunk bed room with 2 sets of bunks and a pull out trundle also. This is a perfect room for children, and sleeps 5. This room has whimsical painted walls and a nice window seat to sit and read or play games on. All 5 bedrooms have a complete closet for storing clothing.
There is also a portable crib (in the King/Twin combo room) and a play & pack (under the master bed) and a highchair available for your use.
Upstairs has a hall bath, that has a tub with shower. Both the hall bath and the master bath have skylights to bring in the natural lighting. The house has lots of windows throughout to take advantage of the natural lighting.
Our home is set back from the street on a quite family oriented cul-de-sac with a long driveway that can park about 8 vehicles. The neighborhood is very quite, and is located near and with view of the lake. You can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea at the bistro table or rattan chairs on our large front porch, or in the reclining lounge chairs on the upper deck off the master bedroom, and listen to the geese fly over at the lake. We also have resident woodpeckers that nest in the trees at the edge of our property.
There are several restaurants within 1 mile of the house, some of the choices are, Chinese, Teriyaki, Vietnamese, Indian, pizza, burgers, and chicken wings. There is a Safeway & Albertsons grocery stores with Starbucks and Red box (for movie rental), a pub & pool hall, a pharmacy, bank, and an Indian grocery store all within 1 mile.
Full housekeeping is provided between each guest stay. All bedding is washed and sanitized between guests. Housekeeping during your stay is available for an additional fee. Catering is available from Paolo's Italian and El Charro Mexican Restaurants.
