We have been living in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1986 when we relocated from New York for Alan's job. He is the general manager of a lighting wholesale company.
I am a 'stay-at-home daughter,' and have been my mother's caregiver since 2008.
We have two beautiful adult daughters, Melissa & Jennifer, who often travel with us. The youngest still lives at home and will be applying to grad schools. Alan and I will be married 34 years in August!
The Owner purchased this house in 2012
We have friends in the area (Chandler, Gilbert, Peoria), and have been visiting frequently. It's both a short plane ride, and a driveable distance from our home in California.
We just purchased this home in March 2012, and went back to get it ready. We were surrounded by handymen, installers and painters for a week, and had to do a lot of shopping. It was tiring but also lots of fun.
We are thinking of eventually retiring here. In the meantime, we will use the home as a vacation home. When we're not enjoying it, we would like to make it available for others to enjoy as if they were at home.
We love the desert landscape, the beautiful weather, the views of Superstition Mountains and the fact that spring training is nearby. There are also lots of golf courses, shopping and nature. The neighborhood has a children's (tot) playground, walking trails, and a park with picnic area, basketball courts, and large playground. It is close to the 202 and 60 freeways.
On a recent visit to check things out at the house, I found a sweet little note written by a child. It was in the nightstand of the twin room. There were young children staying in April and in May, so I am not sure who left it, but I wanted to share it. It says:
Have fun here.
It is awesome.
Thank you, whoever wrote the note. We are glad you thought our home was awesome. Hope you had a lot of fun!
Please come back again! Stella & Alan
My family was very pleased with Stella and Alan's beautiful home in Arizona. We had two families from two different states for a total of seven people and it was perfect, great place and great location.
Searching for a place to rent, the summer of Oh Twelve
The pictures that I saw online, as far as I could tell
Were perfect for the four of us, my sister and her mate
But could we all survive the stay or cause us all to hate
The pictures didn't do the job, of showing all we'd have
We had the room to separate if one of us got mad
The property was spic and span and Vickie was the reason
The place was stocked with EVERYTHING and we enjoyed the season
When we broke a thing or two we wondered who to call
1-800 Michael was the man to fix it all
And then there are the Ginsbergs, the best that you will find
Fulfilling every need you have they are so very kind
So if you want a place to rent that really has it covered
Just call the number on this site, you'll love what you'll discover
There is one word of caution and please don't be mistaken
From January into March this rental will be taken
We love this place like it was home and we are so so pleased
And we'll be back for years to come, the SnowBirds of E. Capri
This house was so wonderful. We were in Mesa for our sons wedding and it was so nice to have the space to relax and enjoy in. Our kids LOVED the pool and there was pool toys there for them to play with. Having a washer and dryer meant we didn't have to take so many clothes which was great! Plenty of bed space and a TV in each room. We liked that because our early rise little girls could just watch TV and let us sleep until a normal hour. There is also movies and a gaming system that my teenagers enjoyed. The owner is VERY easy to work with and contact. I really appreciated that. The price was great also. Definitely a place we would stay in over and over again.
We rented this house for the weekend when our family came out to visit from California. It's a beautiful house in a great neighborhood, with a huge park just down the street. The house was spacious and clean, and stocked with everything we needed to cook family dinners, which was great! The pool was beautiful, so it was hard to get the kids out of it at the end if the day. The master bedroom has a balcony which was great for relaxing with your morning coffee. Why stay in a hotel when you can rent such a nice house? The owner Stella was wonderful to work with as well. My family comes out to visit often, so Stella has found renters for life!
We had a wonderful time at this home away from home. This is the second time we have stayed here. The first time was two years ago for my nieces graduation from ASU. This time it was a little summer getaway with me and my kids. We knew that staying here a second time would be great. This home is definitly a home away from home. It has all of amenities to feel comfortable. The owners of this home were always accessable to us if we had a question about how something works. I love that we have this place to go to in the future. We look forward to our next visit hopefully sooner then later.
I highly recommend this property for families - very kid friendly - all you need is your suitcase and absolutely everything is here including kids dishes and glasses, a safe fenced pool area. We did not have small children with us and found this place to be quiet, serene and very relaxing. Clean and comfortable. Food and Drug stores nearby with close and easy access to Tonto National Park, San Tan Village, Downtown Mesa, Superstition mall and the malls of Tempe. Having a car in this location is a must. If you can bring your bikes, there are lots of flat places that you can ride for miles and miles.
Stella (owner) was a joy to work with and made it very easy for us. Check out the patio at Las Sendas with a 7:00pm reservation *make sure it is the patio) and watch the sunset over the Sonoran Dessert.
