About The Owner

We have been living in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1986 when we relocated from New York for Alan's job. He is the general manager of a lighting wholesale company.

I am a 'stay-at-home daughter,' and have been my mother's caregiver since 2008.

We have two beautiful adult daughters, Melissa & Jennifer, who often travel with us. The youngest still lives at home and will be applying to grad schools. Alan and I will be married 34 years in August!

The Owner purchased this house in 2012

Why The Owner chose Mesa

We have friends in the area (Chandler, Gilbert, Peoria), and have been visiting frequently. It's both a short plane ride, and a driveable distance from our home in California.

We just purchased this home in March 2012, and went back to get it ready. We were surrounded by handymen, installers and painters for a week, and had to do a lot of shopping. It was tiring but also lots of fun.

We are thinking of eventually retiring here. In the meantime, we will use the home as a vacation home. When we're not enjoying it, we would like to make it available for others to enjoy as if they were at home.

What makes this house unique

We love the desert landscape, the beautiful weather, the views of Superstition Mountains and the fact that spring training is nearby. There are also lots of golf courses, shopping and nature. The neighborhood has a children's (tot) playground, walking trails, and a park with picnic area, basketball courts, and large playground. It is close to the 202 and 60 freeways.

Guestbook comments from the owner

On a recent visit to check things out at the house, I found a sweet little note written by a child. It was in the nightstand of the twin room. There were young children staying in April and in May, so I am not sure who left it, but I wanted to share it. It says:

Have fun here.

It is awesome.

Thank you, whoever wrote the note. We are glad you thought our home was awesome. Hope you had a lot of fun!

Please come back again! Stella & Alan

Arizona Vacation Premier Home !

  • 5 of 5

My family was very pleased with Stella and Alan's beautiful home in Arizona. We had two families from two different states for a total of seven people and it was perfect, great place and great location.

Owner's Response: Thank you Mark. We're pleased that the house worked out well for your group, and that you had a good time. Thank you again for taking care of hooking up the new WiFi/router unit. So glad Century Link got it to you real fast. We look forward to having you back the next time you visit Mesa. Best wishes, Stella & Alan

A little poem

  • 5 of 5

Searching for a place to rent, the summer of Oh Twelve

The pictures that I saw online, as far as I could tell

Were perfect for the four of us, my sister and her mate

But could we all survive the stay or cause us all to hate

The pictures didn't do the job, of showing all we'd have

We had the room to separate if one of us got mad

The property was spic and span and Vickie was the reason

The place was stocked with EVERYTHING and we enjoyed the season

When we broke a thing or two we wondered who to call

1-800 Michael was the man to fix it all

And then there are the Ginsbergs, the best that you will find

Fulfilling every need you have they are so very kind

So if you want a place to rent that really has it covered

Just call the number on this site, you'll love what you'll discover

There is one word of caution and please don't be mistaken

From January into March this rental will be taken

We love this place like it was home and we are so so pleased

And we'll be back for years to come, the SnowBirds of E. Capri

Owner's Response: Wow! Bob, you're a poet! What a lovely surprise for a review. Thank you so much. I have forwarded it to Vicki from our cleaning service and Michael, our pool, preventive maitenance and fix-it guy. They are part of the team that keeps things running smoothly, and we're so grateful to have them. The guests who came right after you had trouble getting on the WiFi, and then Marge told me you guys had some trouble but got it to work. We called Century Link, and they ran a diagnostic. It turns out the router/WiFi unit gave out. They got one to us by the next day, and our guest, Mark, installed it. It is now running great. As always, it was a pleasure having you, Ruth, Marge and Eric as our guests. We know that you will treat our home as you would treat yours, and we're happy that you consider it your home away from home. I have you on the calendar from January 9-March 19, 2016. Take care our Snowbird friends! Regards, Stella & Alan

FABULOUS PLACE TO STAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

This house was so wonderful. We were in Mesa for our sons wedding and it was so nice to have the space to relax and enjoy in. Our kids LOVED the pool and there was pool toys there for them to play with. Having a washer and dryer meant we didn't have to take so many clothes which was great! Plenty of bed space and a TV in each room. We liked that because our early rise little girls could just watch TV and let us sleep until a normal hour. There is also movies and a gaming system that my teenagers enjoyed. The owner is VERY easy to work with and contact. I really appreciated that. The price was great also. Definitely a place we would stay in over and over again.

Owner's Response: Thank you Becky. We're happy that you and your family enjoyed your stay in our home. Glad the kids were kept entertained. We're always trying to add more items that we think our guests will enjoy. We are actually at the house now. We met friends from NY here, and we're showing them the beautiful area. Alan and our friend Bill put up two ceiling fans on the patio ceiling. That surely helps cool things down a bit. We hope that you will come back again the next time you're in the area. Best regards, Stella & Alan

Beautiful house in Mesa, you have vacation renters for life!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this house for the weekend when our family came out to visit from California. It's a beautiful house in a great neighborhood, with a huge park just down the street. The house was spacious and clean, and stocked with everything we needed to cook family dinners, which was great! The pool was beautiful, so it was hard to get the kids out of it at the end if the day. The master bedroom has a balcony which was great for relaxing with your morning coffee. Why stay in a hotel when you can rent such a nice house? The owner Stella was wonderful to work with as well. My family comes out to visit often, so Stella has found renters for life!

Owner's Response: Dear Anne, We just got back from the house. As you know, we also live in California. We like to go back at least once a quarter, even if just for a weekend, to check things out, restock and add things. This time we got a couple of new lounge chairs to replace the broken ones. The second one broke in the same way as the one you found broken when you got there. It must be the intense heat that just weakens the material. We also replaced a couple of the pool loungers and added a good pump to inflate them. They seem to deflate as soon as we put them away in the pool house. We added two ceiling fans over the patio. That really helped. There's always some other little things I add in the kitchen, or throughout the house, like replacing the broken coasters. We got Chem Dry in to clean the carpets, and the company who installed the R/O system, to change the filters and inspect the water softener. We just like to make sure everything is in good working order. We're so pleased that you and your family enjoyed your stay at the house with all the amenities for a wonderful family get-together. The grill is new too, we just got it a couple of months ago. Hopefully this nice little Weber will hold up better than the previous grill. We look forward to having you back next time your family is in town. You were wonderful guests. Best regards, Stella and Alan

We had a wonderful time at this home away from home. This is the second time we have stayed here. The first time was two years ago for my nieces graduation from ASU. This time it was a little summer getaway with me and my kids. We knew that staying here a second time would be great. This home is definitly a home away from home. It has all of amenities to feel comfortable. The owners of this home were always accessable to us if we had a question about how something works. I love that we have this place to go to in the future. We look forward to our next visit hopefully sooner then later.

A Desert Oasis

  • 5 of 5

I highly recommend this property for families - very kid friendly - all you need is your suitcase and absolutely everything is here including kids dishes and glasses, a safe fenced pool area. We did not have small children with us and found this place to be quiet, serene and very relaxing. Clean and comfortable. Food and Drug stores nearby with close and easy access to Tonto National Park, San Tan Village, Downtown Mesa, Superstition mall and the malls of Tempe. Having a car in this location is a must. If you can bring your bikes, there are lots of flat places that you can ride for miles and miles.

Stella (owner) was a joy to work with and made it very easy for us. Check out the patio at Las Sendas with a 7:00pm reservation *make sure it is the patio) and watch the sunset over the Sonoran Dessert.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the glowing review, Sue. We're so glad that you found the house relaxing and peaceful. There is so much to do in the area. We're just discovering it ourselves. Thanks for the recommendation to go dine at Las Sendas and watch the sunset. We will do that when we're there in June. We like to visit at least once a quarter to check that everything is in order and to refill supplies. We would love to have you back the next time you're in the area. Take care! ~Stella & Alan
