Ground floor apartment in tranquil area but close to all amenities.

A two bedroom apartment on the edge of community overlooking agricultural land. It is on the edge of a Spanish village which has a small supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, bank and a few bars. There is also a small market on Wednesday mornings. Within 5-10 minutes drive you can get to Murcia airport, numerous beaches, restaurants, shops and 20 golf courses.

The apartment is very comfortably furnished and provides everything you could possibly want including a 32ins TV with satellite connection with 126 TV and 31 radio channels.There is also a DVD & a CD player & selection of DVD's, CD's books & games for your use. We also have Wi-fi connection in the apartment.

There is a private terrace with table & chairs for eating al-fresco. There is also a lower garden area with sun loungers which gets full sun in the afternoon & evening .

There is a community heated pool with sliding roof for all year round use, a childrens pool, paddle tennis courts & a clubhouse which is run by a Spanish couple as a tapas bar. It has an outdoor terrace. There is a charge for using these facilities, see the website www.aquadelcenter.es

We can arrange a welcome pack or hire of baby equipment.

You will be met by our keyholders who look after the property and give you personal attention if you require help or advice.

We live near Bournemouth for about 8months of the year and enjoy coming out to Spain during the winter to avoid the cold weather in the UK.

Why Janet Trafford chose Torre Pacheco

We discovered the Costa Calida when my husband Paul's sister moved with her husband and youngest daughter to live in this area in 2002. It is a lovely part of Spain as although it has plenty of facilities it is not too commercialised and still quite Spanish although we are made to feel very welcome by the Spanish residents.

We have stayed in this property a few times now. It is in a peaceful location, on the edge of a friendly Spanish village. You can get basic food from the supermarket, and delicious cakes in the bakery. The pool/clubhouse is a short stroll away, and lots of space to sunbathe next to pool, and get ice-creams from the linked clubhouse.

The beach is a 10 minute drive, as well as shops, a good selection of restaurants and bars. Perfect for a evening out.

Would recommend a car, but plenty of places for days out within short drive, including the mud baths, cabo de palos for the best fish, and dos mares for shopping. Cartegana is good also if you want to visit a city. And of course, the weather is mostly beautiful. The apartment is very comfortable, and has everything you might need whether it be rain or shine! The local people are very friendly, and welcoming. Will be returning.

Highly Recommend This Property

If you are looking for a quiet location but not too far from major city's then this is the property for you. It is located in a small village but has all that you require, ie shops, hairdressers, bakery and several pubs. We would recommend that you hire a car to get about though.

The property is of excellent standard and as stated is like a home from home. No need to take travel iron's, hairdryer etc as this is all provided. This is the first time we have ever booked a holiday let and I cannot fault the owner Jan in any way. She had given us so much information regarding the area and the booking was so simple and hassle free. The property was very clean and well maintained and Jaqui the neighbour is very friendly and helpful.

During our stay we visited some local towns & villages and even found an Iceland Frozen Foods in San Javier which is useful for people that don't want to try the local food. I found driving around so easy as the roads are well sign posted and if I can't get lost then no one can. You are only driving distance from Murcia 20mins, Alicante 35-40mins, and Benidorm is just a bit further a field. I will definatley being returning and would highly recommend this property to friends and family. Next time I go I will be wanting to fenture out further maybe to Valencia or Barcelona. Thank you to the owners Jan & Paul & to Jaqui the neighbour for all you help and making us have such an enjoyable and relaxing holiday.

First Holiday Abroad

Had a fantastic time, apartment was very clean & well equipped. Lovely quiet area. We hired a car(which we would definitely recommend) and travelled around every day, best place we went to was Murcia. We are definitely hoping to go back again & would recommend staying there to anyone.

A short break

We left the UK with freezing weather to arrive in Spain (Murcia) with temperatures around 15°C/59°F

The options available when arriving are to hire a car at the airport, where there are plenty of opportunities, if you intend travelling around the surrounding area. Alternatively you can arrange with the neighbour of the property a collection and return trip to and from the airport which is good if you do not intend travelling anywhere and a very reasonable price. The neighbour also operates a taxi like facility where she will take you to and from the local supermarket during the day and if required the local restaurants at night. This is very useful if all you require is peace and quiet and are not interested in driving anywhere, however should you opt to hire a car then parking is not an issue as the property has parking bays opposite.

The facilities in the property are clean and well laid out and on arrival a guest pack was available. The two bedrooms allow for either two couples or a family with two children. The bathroom and kitchen are both well apportioned and should you feel up to it a washing machine is in the conservatory area complete with washing line. The lounge/diner is well apportioned with seating for four at the breakfast/dinner table and the lounge has seating with television, DVD player and radio.

The front patio has a table and four chairs which is ideal for eating breakfast at and also evening meals if required and when the weather is warm enough as it is shaded from the sun. The patio is not overlooked and not subjected to people stopping and staring.

The swimming pool and club room complex was under construction and is expected to be complete by the summer although this is not an issue as there is the use of pool nearby if required. When the residents' pool and clubhouse becomes available this will make it so much easier and it is expected that food will be available.

Around the habitation there are two pubs which also serve very good food. A small village type community which has a bank with ATM, hairdresser, two small supermarkets and a market once a week. All in all you could stay here and not need to go anywhere.

Overall the property is very good and allows the hirer the opportunity to do what they want and we would have no problem in going back again.

Holiday rental 2010

We spent 10 days here in January 2010. The apartment was spacious, well equipped, warm and comfortable. Jackie next door welcomed us. It was nice to have a small supermarket within walking distance for daily fresh bread etc. The location was quiet but with plenty of places to visit within the day. Car really essential. Ground floor made it ideal for the less mobile. We would thoroughly recommend it.

Lovely holiday

I have been to this apartment a few times now, at varying times of year, and it has always been a very enjoyable break. The location is peaceful, but within reach of the local village shops. There is a bakery in the village that sells delicious fresh bread and cakes daily. A short drive from the apartment is Los Alcazeres where there are beaches, restaurants and further shops. We enjoyed Los Narejos beach, which has a quiet promenade to walk along in the sun. Bayside and La Diva restaurants were our favourites among many.

The property is spacious, and well presented, with everything you could need for a holiday provided. The neighbour who cleans and cares for the property is also very helpful, and can answer any questions you may have.

Definately a property we would recommend for a relaxing holiday, with amenities and attractions within easy reach.

In a tranquil area but near to all facilities. Within 5-10 minutes drive you can get to Murcia airport, numerous beaches, restaurants, shops & 20 golf courses. The nearest cities are Cartagena which is 20 minutes drive & Murcia which is 30 minutes drive.

The Mar Menor which is a big lagoon cut off from the Mediterranean is 10 minutes drive. It is shallow for quite a way out with very gentle waves so it is safe for children. The water temperature in the summer can reach 30 degrees. The beach area stretches for 7 kilometres & has been given 4 EC blue flags.

The area is partly protected land so it is not too built up. There are quiet areas for walkers as well as commercial shopping centres nearby. There is also Terra Natura within 30 minutes drive which is an animal park where some of the profits go to animal protection. It also has a water park attached to it

You can fly to Murcia with various airlines including Monarch, Easyjet, Ryanair & Jet2. Alternatively Alicante airport is one hours drive from us.

Car hire rates start at £50 off peak.

Golf: Although we are not on a golf course we have about 20 courses within 5-20 minutes drive. We are within 10 minutes drive of Polaris Worlds 'La Torre' golf course and Roda Resorts PGA designed course. A bit further afield within 20 minutes drive are La Manga Club and Villamartin.
