Great stay right outside the heart of Austin!

We really enjoyed staying here during SXSW this year! The studio is a great place to recharge at the end of a long day. The owner was great to deal with and very accommodating. The unit is fairly small, but very nicely finished with everything you need for your stay including a bottle of wine to kick things off! It is in a great neighborhood and was very quiet and peaceful.
You should be aware that although this is only about 2 miles from downtown Austin, getting in and out of the city takes time. I would definitely recommend having a rental car if you are planning to enjoy what downtown has to offer, especially if you are in town for something like SXSW since taxis are at a premium.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the great review! We're so glad you enjoyed your stay. While we think Austin is just about the greatest city in the world, we'd have to agree that traffic can be a bit of a challenge, especially during festivals like SXSW, where an extra 100,000+ folks squeeze into Downtown. The property is located just 1.8 miles from the Capitol, and is in the first viable residential neighborhood northwest of Downtown. It normally takes just five minutes to drive to the Capitol from the property, but in rainy, SXSW traffic, I would imagine it could take 15 or so minutes. Getting into Downtown from any direction under those circumstances would take longer than usual. The record rainfall (a mixed blessing for the city) during the first two days of SXSW surly didn't help things! We'll hope for sunny skies and clear roads next year. Thanks again!
