This spacious two bedroom house is nestled into a wooded hillside near the foot of Ragged Mountain, with winter views of The Camden Snow Bowl. If you are looking for easy access to amazing hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, hunting, snowboarding, skiing, tubing or tobogganing ( on the wicked awesome toboggan chute at the Camden Snow Bowl),then this is the house for you. The Ragged Mountain House is a Deck House (all second floor living) with a full size daylight basement where there is plenty of space to store all your outdoor gear. The upper level has 1,000 square feet of living space, two bedrooms, one full bath room with combination tub/shower. The living room has a futon sleeper sofa that sleeps 2 ( with a really nice mattress!). There is a full kitchen with a four burner gas stove,dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, toaster, microwave, coffee maker ,blender, and an island counter that seats two. The open floor living room, dining room area has a cathedral ceiling and sliding glass doors to a large deck, with adirondack chairs, and gas grill. There is a large back yard for outdoor games with badminton, croquet, and a horseshoe pit. A one stall garage is available for winter renters. A five minute walk from your front door, and you are at the Camden Snow Bowl Ski Area and the Ragged Mountain Recreation area, with extensive hiking and mountain bike trails, along with tennis courts, small boat launch, with a dock and swimming area on charming Hosmer Pond. In the summer and fall there are frequent chair lift rides for you and your mountain bike to the top of the mountain, check out their web site at http://www.camdensnowbowl.com for upcoming events. In the winter months, spectacular ocean view snowboarding ,skiing, snowshoeing, & cross country skiing. A two minute drive takes you to the hiking trail for the George's Highland path and Bald Mountain. A three minute drive gets you to the boat landing on Lake Megunticook, with miles of paddling and spectacular mountain views. Another 5 minutes down the road to rock climbing at Barrett's Cliff or the hiking trail up Maiden Cliff, for amazing views of the surrounding Lakes and Mountains.
