|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
All the comforts of home are here including central a/c and heat, a large fully equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms and a loft, 2 full baths, finished lower level with a game room, and large living room to sit and relax after a fun day outdoors. Barbecue your favorite foods out on the deck and have your meal in the sun, or under the covered porch. Have a fun game of horseshoes, then sit around the fire pit and gaze at the spectacular night sky. At night, listen for the calming sounds of the stream or wind through the trees.
Some of the things to do with your family and friends in the area..... sun bathing on the Hague beach, golf, fishing, boating, swimming, diving, tubing, island hoping, shopping, wilderness trail hiking, antiquing, ferry boat to Vermont, berry picking , mountain climbing, dinning, church, exploring museums, mini golf, bowling alley, sight seeing and more.
A bucket list dream of mine was to build a log cabin in the Adirondacks in the Lake George area. We love the lake, the mountain trails and streams, and the quiet of the area's wooded tall pine forest in the Northern Basin of Lake George. My wife Carol and I are happy we can share this wonderful hideaway with you and hope you love it as much as we do.
Frank and Carol Marceca purchased this cabin in 2008
It's pretty cool to spend some time in an authentic log cabin, I think comfort and warmth are the best way's to describe it. Location in the rolling hills of Hague gives you that country feel, quiet and private, while having lake George only 1 mile away.
That log home feel, Quiet and relaxing yet only a few minute's ride to the beach or the area's other major attractions like Fort Ticonderoga, Rodgers Rock, Ferry boat over to Vermont, Bolton Landing and The Village of Lake George.
We just got back from our 3 day stay at this beautiful log house. The house was clean, very well decorated and stocked with everything you may need for your family vacation. It accomodated two families of 4 with plenty of spare space.
The huge lot size and access to woods made it a fun adventure for kids and adults. The house is set far back from the main road, connected through a long driveway, making it very safe for kids (6, 8 adnd 10) to play with minimal supervision.
We enjoyed the firepit everynight, and the huge pile of firewood helped!!
We were a little apprehensive about not having internet or cell phone connections, but we really enjoyed the opportunity to wind-down without giving-in to compulsive habits. We did not mind 20-40 minutes drive for most activities as it was well compensated by the size and comfort of the house.
We didnt get to meet the owners, but the house has a certain warmth that speaks very well of them. Frank was very resposive and helpful over emails and phone. We will certainly consider staying here again!
My family and I loved staying at this beautiful loag cabin home!! The house is so clean and the yard the kids loved to play horse shoe and we made a nice fire most nights. We no cell service and cable it made us watch some old movies we had not seen in a long time. It was alot of fun. We also did a lot of driving we went tubing, went to a rodeo, horseback riding and went to the Ausable Chasm. We had a full week and it was so nice to meet Frank and Carol the owners when we arrived such nice people. We would highly recommend this house to family and friends.
This home was one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed as a family! From the first day our three year old was calling it our mountain home, and continues to do so almost six months later! We had a wonderful time. There was plenty of room, especially because there is a loft where someone could stay, and the older kids could spend time in the basement with plenty of privacy. Our littlest children were 1 and 2 when we stayed, and the basement stairs were tough for them without a railing, but all that meant was that we had to keep the door shut. The pictures do not do this home justice; it is absolutely stunning! It is in a very quiet, peaceful area where you do not hear anything from your neighbors. It did require a lot of driving to go most places; we had to drive about 15 minutes to get groceries at Walmart but that wasn't a big deal. I would without hesitation recommend this vacation property. The kids are asking to go back next summer!
This property is beautiful. Well taken care of and very clean. The owners are very nice. There is plenty to do if you don't mind driving a little. The painted pony rodeo is fun if you never seen a rodeo before. It's a forty minute ride from the house but easy driving.They have a BBQ before the rodeo but I think it's average at best. Go ouit todinner somewhere else. Near by is Eddies Resteraunt which is okay at best. I had a tbone steak that was dry. I think they use frozen meat. We ordered garlic bread which was disappointing. the bread was to mushy. Marinara sauce had a lot of olive oil sitting at the top. The hot bisquit was excellent for breakfast. They were very busy but worth the wait. Excellent prices too. The beach for this property to use is small but nice. The beach is well taken care of. Georges resteraunt and the log jam are probably the best resteraunts you'll find.
From the moment we booked with Frank & Carol, we knew we made the right choice. Prompt and nice as can be, we knew this was a vacation our family will not soon forget. The house was easy to find and impeccable. We felt as if we were home away from home. he layout was perfect and can more than accommodate large families comfortably. The location is great, there is no shortage of accessibility of conveniences such as groceries or restaurants. A short drive to the village of Lake George, an ice cream shop for the kids and coffee for the bigger kids is nearby for those who like to not set the coffee pot in the morning and the home was well stocked with necessities. Friends of ours had a house on the lake and our house was a great mountain retreat. We spent a day at Six Flags, a day at the beach in Hague, another shopping in the Village, one day venturing in Ticonderoga and Vermont, and other days we spent with friends on the lake. Our kids have memories to last a lifetime and I guarantee we will be back. Our deposit was returned promptly and no doubt that we will be reserving in the not so distant future! Thanks again!!
This is a beautiful log cabin with all the amenities and well located to multiple areas of interest. Whether you want a family vacation or a romantic get-a-way. We can't wait to return! My 4 y/o loved the local beach for swimming and Fort Ticonderoga was so interesting. Close enough to Lake George Village to drive and spend the day shopping and exploring. The cabin itself is beautiful and has a great deal of room if you have a large family. We give Frank M. and his wife our highest recommendation!
Cabin setting is just a few minutes ride to historic fort Ticonderoga where you can catch a revolutionary war re-enactment, or just tour the 'Fort' for a great site seeing and learning experiences. While in town, visit the many restaurants and stores with most anything you may need while in the Adirondacks. When your done in Ticonderoga, stop by the Wind Chill ice cream parlor and have what many call the best ice cream in New York State. Our public beach and boat launch is just 4.5 miles away, with a summer life guard on duty, and bathroom facilities. Just a short walk form the beach, is our small town USA main street with a general store, restaurant, churches, antiquing and night life. Lake George, with its crystal clean water,(homes around the lake get their drinking water from it) is a wonderful lake known as the Queen of the American Lakes. There is much to do, swimming, boating, diving, tubing, jet skiing, fishing, island hopping and picnicking on an island. After a fun filled day on the lake, watch the beautiful summer sunsets over the mountains. T Take your time traveling to any of these destinations because the scenic ride and its beauty along Rt. 9 are not to be missed. Bolton Landing, about a 25 minute ride away, is a great place to shop and dine. Check out the museum in town to get a real feel of the history of the area. Vermont, only about 9 miles away, where you can cross of Lake Champlain on a ferry boat and go ( Depending on the season) apple and Berry picking or just take a ride to one of the many towns and attractions like the Vermont teddy bear factory, or the Cabot cheese store and plant. Zip Lining, white water rafting, horse back riding, charter boat fishing, boat rentals, hiking, mountain or rock climbing, cliff diving, antique shopping are all just minuets away from your cabin.
