Two A/C bedrooms, two full baths, sleep 4 or 5, beautifull terrace.

Ocean lover? You will fall in love with this cozy beach house with its fantastic view of the Dorado coastline, not only from its spacious terrace, but also from its beautiful master bedroom. Here you will enjoy the total experience of a relaxed beach vacation, bask in the sun, hear the waves, feel the breeze, swim in beautiful and protected Brenas beach. The open space layout of the main floor lets you enjoy the relaxed vacation atmosphere this house offers. The fully equipped kitchen, and the living and dining areas open to the oceanfront terrace. There is also a nicely decorated full bathroom, a laundry area in the main floor, and a gas grill for outdoor cooking.

Sleep to the sound of the waves and wake up to a breathtaking panoramic view from its master bedroom. The second bedroom has a full sized bunk bed with a twin size bed on top. Both are air conditioned and have good closet space. There is a full bathroom in the second floor.

We are ocean front. Brenas beach is steps away.

Location: This charming oceanfront duplex is located on a quiet cul de sac in Brenas Estates, a gated, relaxed, beach house community in the Dorado/Vega Alta area with 24 hour security. Within its gates is spectacular Brenas Beach, a reef protected, beautiful cove between the Dorado Beach Resort and the former Cerromar Hotel. It is minutes away from Dorado's famous golf courses, restaurants, and other attractions.

About Cristina Stubbe

I am a retired Interior Designer. I was born in Puerto Rico and studied here, in the States, and in Spain. I have always enjoyed traveling and discovering different countries and cultures. Even lived as an expat in Thailand with my children for three years when their father was transferred there in the early nineties. While in Asia I tried to visit as many different places as I could and loved it.

Now I am remarried, my children are young professional adults, and I live in Dorado, always close to the beach!

Why Cristina Stubbe chose Dorado

We love the beach. I bought this house as a second home for me and my two preteen children in 1997. The house needed some TLC but I fell in love with it the minute I entered and was taken away by the magnificent ocean view that could be appreciated by almost any angle. The size was perfectly manageable for us and easy for entertaining a few friends. I decided to renovate it using the magnificent ocean view as the focal point. It is done with a lot of details and care to enhance the Caribbean beach place ambiance while keeping everything practical and at hand to be able to enjoy the vacation with no hassle. Brenas is a low key private community with a spectacular beach, Surrounded by beautiful golf courses and two world-class hotels. The town of Dorado is five minutes away. It has anything you need for supplies or quaint places to eat. San Juan and its Metro area is twenty five minutes away, so you can visit any time. Though you should shy away from going to San Juan or returning during heavy traffic hours!!!

What makes this townhome unique

This is not a typical rental property. This is our second home. We are attached to it because we still enjoy it a lot. We are constantly giving it TLC, though being an ocean front property it is very high maintenance.

THE HOUSE:This charming oceanfront duplex is perfect for ocean lovers who want to experience the total joy of living by the sea. Situated in a quiet cul de sac, it has a privileged location on top of a rock facing the magnificent Dorado coastline. It is a few steps from beautiful Breñas Beach, a secluded cove between the Dorado Beach Hotel and former Cerromar Hotel properties.

THE AREA: Brenas Estates is a relaxed, private gated community with 24 hour security service located between the Dorado Beach Hotels and Dorado Plantation (former Cerromar Hotel) properties, in the boundary between Dorado and Vega Alta beach towns.. Within this quiet community is beautiful Breñas Beach, one of the most protected and precious in the area. You can sunbathe, swim, snorkel, and even surf here.

Breñas Estates is ten minutes away from downtown Dorado, where you can find modern supermarkets, pharmacies, nice neighborhood restaurants,cinemas, laundries, and anything you need for your vacation.

There are 4 great golf courses in the area.

San Juan is 25 minutes away to the East either by highway #22 or the beautiful scenic beach road that leads you to Cataño, where you can arrange a visit to the Bacardi Refinery, 15 minutes away before reaching San Juan.

To the West, 40 minutes away,via highway 22, you can visit the Camuy Cave system, the Arecibo Observatory, and the Barceloneta outlet mall, with its many famous state brands.

Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport is around 1 hour away.

A little piece of heaven!

I have to admit I was skeptical that this place would live up to my expectations. It surpassed them. My husband and I just spent a week in this perfectly situated duplex and would return tomorrow, if possible. The house is located on a point of sorts, with the roaring waves crashing just below the deck in front. On either side, within a 60 second walk away, are two beautiful bays with calm waters and sandy beaches, perfect for swimming.

The deck is ideal for sunning, reading, or watching the pelicans fly by. We were especially thrilled to watch a small pod of whales playing in the ocean directly in front of the house one morning as we drank our coffee on the deck.

What you see is what you get with this rental. The ocean front of this home consists mostly of windows and glass doors so, no matter which way you look, the view is blue, blue, and more blue. The house was clean and well maintained with plenty of "extras". Wi-fi, DirecTV, air conditioning, washer and dryer, gas grill, even a hammock. No need to pack a hairdryer, snorkeling gear, beach towels, umbrellas, or games. The house is well stocked with everything you'll need for creating a great vacation.

Within a few miles you'll find plenty of restaurants and shopping, yet the house seems "away from it all". It's located at the end of a small cul-de-sac in a gated community and we loved the privacy it afforded. When we were in the mood for sightseeing, San Juan was 30 minutes (depending on traffic) away, El Yunque was maybe an hour or a little more.

The homeowner was very friendly and helpful in suggesting activities and restaurants she thought we would be interested in. She lives about 5 minutes away so, should the need arise, she can be reached very quickly.

For a couple or family with 2 or 3 children, this place is the perfect get away!

Perfect beach getaway

My husband and I stayed at this charming beach house while visiting family in Puerto Rico. From the moment we arrived, we knew this was a special place. The place has been very well cared for and we found all the amenities we could ask for. We spent a lot of time on the terrace enjoying the view, listening to the waves and staring at the perfect full moon. The house is perfectly situated near shopping areas to find everything we needed and also close to some great local restaurants. Waking up to the sound of the crashing waves and the sun filtering through the shades was just perfect. The beach is just a few minutes away on foot. Lots of great sun...and shade for those who prefer that! We can't wait for our second visit.
