MEXICAN MULLET - PEACEFUL PACIFIC IN FRONT, CRAZY CABO IN BACK

Cabo San Lucas Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

Cabo San Lucas is awaiting your arrival.

Jewel of the Baja - where Desert meets the Sea.

From the moment you see the arch, you will know you are in a special place. Nestled at the tip of the Baja Peninsula or Land’s End, you will be staying just around the corner from the famous arch that divides the Pacific from the Sea of Cortez. Terrasol is located on one mile of private beach on the Pacific surrounded by spectacular rock formations and waves that crash on the shores in hypnotic rhythms. This is Terrasol Beach Resort, unique, quiet, close. There is nothing like it.

MAIN BEDROOM & BATH HIGHLIGHTS

This is an end unit so it has extra windows on one side. It also is on the top floor and has vaulted ceilings. The master bedroom was recently remodeled to eliminate unnecessary walls that block view lines giving it a light and open feeling. There is an excellent view of the Ocean from the balcony and you can hear the sound of waves if you leave the door open.

It features a King Size pillow top bed with dual side tables & lamps. There is a ceiling fan with the control next to the bed. The air conditioner was just replaced with a quiet unit that has a sleep setting that is thermostatically controlled for a peaceful nights rest.

The adjoining master bath is spacious and features a full-size walk-in shower. There is an operable window in the bath for light and ventilation.

GUEST BEDROOM HIGHLIGHTS

When you enter the Guest Bedroom, you will be greeted by 2 brightly colored Sailfish mosaics.

Two sliding glass doors and vaulted ceiling give this bedroom a lot of light. It also has a view from a private patio and access to the main patio.

It features a King Size pillow top bed with side tables & lamps and a ceiling fan. There is a desk and mirror. There is a private access to the bath.

The air conditioner was also replaced recently with a similar unit in the master.

KITCHEN HIGHLIGHTS

The fully furnished kitchen features a 19 cf. refrigerator, dishwasher, self-cleaning oven with range, and a microwave. The kitchen also features a coffee maker, toaster, blender, and more importantly a bottle opener and a lime squeezer. Beer and Tequilla not included but it is fair game if left behind. You could fix Thanksgiving Dinner with what is provided.

LIVING/ DINING ROOM HIGHLIGHTS

The living/dining has vaulted ceilings with a ceiling fan and a huge sliding door to take advantage of the view of the Pacific. There is a Queen Sleeper Sofa to accommodate up to six in all, reclining seat, and a glass dining table on a carved stone base.

There is a 50' high def TV on the dish network, internet, a dvd player and speakers for Ipod or MP3 players.

The patio is the most used space there. There is an awesome view of the Pacific looking South where whales can be seen on there trip from Alaska. There is comfortable patio furniture to relax while you are enjoying the view. I always tell people to bring binoculars.

LOCATION

The beach and Ocean are the main attractions. Although the beach is not suitable for taking dips if you aren't a strong swimmer because of the riptide but world class skimboarding contests are held in front and if you like to surf fish, you can bring your equipment and give it a try. If you are adventurous, you can climb the rocks and go over to Lovers and divorce beach which surround the arch. There you can do some snorkeling and enjoy a swimming beach. The intensity of the waves change almost daily.

Terrasol is a perfectly located low-rise, low-density resort offering privacy and tranquility. It is unique because it i the only privately owned condominium complex on Solmar Beach and it is less than a ten minute walk to the bustling village of Cabo San Lucas along with its modern marina, shops, restaurants and cantinas. You will avoid long taxi or bus rides to where the fun spots are and you can avoid the expense of a rental car if you choose. There is a place to park a rental car for a fee.

This 1800 square foot luxury condominium is an end unit next to the Playa Grande on the top floor of a two story building. It has three wrap around decks with beautiful Bougainvillea in the planters. From that perch, you can see panoramic views of the blue Pacific and at the right time of year, whales. Bring your binoculars.

We were both born and raised in Colorado. We like to kayak, ride bikes, golf and ski.

When we are in Cabo we like to fish, walk the beach, watch sunsets, I swim in the surf (be careful if you do), hike over the rocks to Lover's Beach, Snorkel, go to Santa Maria and Chileano Bays, and maybe our most exciting times have come watching whales.

Kevin Gilligan purchased this condo in 2006

Went to Cabo as a teenager in 1973 with some High School buddies. Not much there except natural beauty and great weather.

Vacationed with the family over 30 years later and realized how great the weather is and decided to buy a time share next door in Playa Grande. When we figured out that there isn't a better location in Cabo with the private beach on one side and a short walk to most everything on the other, bought 2 more time share weeks.

I want to retire in Cabo and there isn't another individual ownership property on a beach any where near.

A short plane flight and you can change temperatures 30 degrees or more. Not too humid. It is in the tropic of cancer and is one of few deserts on the sea.

Great fishing and other activities on the high sea make this a magical place for an in lander from Colorado. Seems there is always something that makes every trip special.

The private beach is one of few in Mexico. It costs the resorts plenty for the privilege but it makes the difference between a relaxing or annoying vacation.

We had a fantastic experience. The condo is well equipped, clean and in a great spot close to the marina and downtown. The owner was very helpful and accommodating when we had a flight cancellation. We would definitely stay here again!!

Wonderful vacation!

  • 4 of 5
Enjoyed staying here! Beds comfortable, quiet, beautiful views, and get staff! Went with total 6 girls (4 stayed here). Easy cab ride to town and back for a fun filled night. Pool by day! The grounds are hand raked and sand is swept from the sidewalks all day, amazing workers. Big shot out to Mario at the pool love those chi chi's. The food they serve is not bad at all and very reasonably priced! Don't expect to go swimming in the ocean it is cabo and the waves break very close to shore, very dangerous! I would definitely recommend and hopefully will be back!

What a beautiful, relaxing place!

  • 5 of 5
We had an amazing stay at the "Mexican Mullet" last week in Cabo. What a fabulous place to stay! This is a wonderful spot if you are looking for a very, very quiet and relaxing place that's still an easy walk right into the craziness of downtown Cabo.

The condo is clean, fresh, light and airy, and has a gorgeous view of the ocean from every room. We saw whales right from our breakfast every day! There's everything you could ever need - even plenty of beach towels (and booze!) and the owner couldn't have been nicer or easier to deal with. Plenty of nice cold AC, the wi-fi worked great, and the beds were confortable. We had one tiny maintenance issue and it was a breeze to fix - just dialed zero and the front desk sent someone up immediately to fix the problem.

The Terrasol grounds are immaculate and lovely, and the pool bar is staffed by a friendly guy who makes an amazing and cheap margarita. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. This place is a find!!!

A great stay!!!

  • 5 of 5
We booked this condo for just the two of us even though it was 2 bedrooms 2 baths. The condo was as described. I read the previous negative reviews and have to say I totally disagree. This condo was clean and in good shape. We had NO complaints. There are a few things (trim) that could be fixed up a bit but certainly nothing major. Location is perfect, ocean view and we saw plenty of whales right from the balconies. Easy access to marina, downtown, cabs and attractions. We walked everywhere. Location is safe. Palapa bar/cafe is good for a quick bite. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. The complex is all owner-occupied and quiet at night. Owner's instructions and directions were accurate to the letter, and he provided us with very helpful information. He was a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely rent this condo again and deal with this owner again. Thank you!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your response. I am making improvements to upgrade the level of finish whenever I can. There are some "rough edges" for now but you realized the most important feature - the location. I hope you will come back soon.

Great location. Both the condo and resort are a little tired.

  • 3 of 5
Like any condo/resort there are pros and cons. Let's start with the pros:
Check in was very easy.
The view from the main balcony is awesome!
The resort is very quiet as a rule, which was perfect for what we were looking for.
The landscaping is maintained very well and are always clean. Lots of colourful flowers.
The location to downtown is excellent. It is only about a 15 min walk to the downtown.
Quiet pools, there are very few kids there.
The food at the pool bar is good and a great value.
The beds/pillows were very comfortable.
We did e-mail Kevin with a couple of maintenance issues and they were corrected right away.
The unit was clean and well equipped.

Cons:
I am guessing that the unit is 20-25 years old. For the most part it has not been renovated, so it does show it's age.
It would have been nice to have some beach chairs/umbrella so we could have sat on the beach.
The shower off of the master bdrm has no lip to keep the water from running out into the rest of the bathroom, which gets messy. I lowered the curtain rod about 4" which helped considerably.
It is a bit of an odd layout for the master bdrm, in that there is no bathroom door. So there is nothing between your bed and the toilet except for about 6-8 feet around a corner. So in the night when you turn on the bathroom light, it lights up the bedroom too and when you flush, it is like to toilet is right beside you. (I think you know where I am going with this).
As much as you can see the Ocean from the bedrooms, they pretty much look at the large resort next door.
The resort it's self also shows its age. The paint is coming off the bottom of the pool, there are doors, drain covers etc that are rotten and need to be replaced. It seems like the Resort needs more money in there "Upkeep" budget.

Overall we enjoyed our room and the Terrasol, but it is by no means a 5 star condo or resort. More like a 3-3.5.
Having said that, I think for what we paid, the value was there and I would recommend it. Just don't go into this expecting a 4 or 5 star condo. (as some people have rated it).

Relaxing!

  • 5 of 5
My daughters and I stayed at Kevin's property for 5 days at the end of June. We did not know this was the "low season" but I think we got the best part of that. It was as if we had our own private beach and our own private pool. The complex was very quiet - so if you want noise, don't stay here at this time.

The complex was clean and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Be sure to get to know Mario at the pool - he will serve you up quite a pina colada . . . and he is such a nice man. The condo itself was clean and fully equipped with everything we might need. The only cons were the tiny, tiny ants (just be sure to clean up well and don't leave any food out) and buying too much food. The next guests will be able to make some margaritas with the mix and tequila we left!

Great places we ate were: Mi Casa, Hacienda Maria, The Office, Crazy Lobster. We walked the Marina and shops around town every evening. I was a bit concerned about safety, especially since we were 3 girls alone, but never felt unsafe at all.

We did get roped into the time share presentation but got some great cash and gifts out of it. We will definitely go back to the same place in the future. We did not rent a car and never felt the need for it. However, we mostly stayed near the town and marina. Taxi is sufficient to go to the other side of the marina.
