There is EXCELLENT public transportation readily available from our place which includes city-sponsored bicycles, subway, metrobus, and safe taxis that are . This is a great area to bicycle to work or for fun. Free bicycles and well located bike lanes are all around Ave. Reforma. On Sundays Reforma Avenue is closed to cars to allow for pedestrians, runners and bicyclers.
Unfortunately our place is not child appropriate due to all glass and sharp edges in the tables and boudoirs. If you have small children, please check with us before booking.
Our neighborhood has a European feel to it as it is surrounded by a large variety of restaurants, cafes, delis, an art house theater, and boutiques. The neighborhood is safe and the apartment has a live-in doorman. There is a gym, a yoga studio, a supermarket, several convenient stores, and a Mercado (farmer’s market) close by.
We LOVE the location of our place and so will you!
The apartment is even better than in the pictures on the website! It is impeccably clean, comfortable, and well-located. The kitchen is well equipped, as is each bedroom with good quality linens (note: the beds are full-size). Lots of restaurants and cafes, shopping, sightseeing venues, etc. nearby. Airport transportation, as well as travel to sightseeing locations, were very reasonably priced and pleasant with Senor Antonio Amador - a huge convenience! Communicating with Maria was a joy - she is extremely efficient, prompt, and personable. Overall, an excellent experience. We will definitely recommend it to our friends and whenever we are back in Mexico City, we hope to stay there! Thanks for all, Maria!
Great. It has all you'll need. Lots of room. It's like the pictures.
Pretty, clean, it has the two bed rooms, two bathrooms as listed, plus the big main room combination living room and dining room. A good size kitchen, another eating area, a laundry room with a washer and dryer. It's new one and does a good job.
The phone available is very helpful to receive and make local calls.
We were able to take the public transportation (5.50 pesos each way) to all the museums and many tourist attractions.
Many good restaurants steps from the building.
Another great is, Antonio the driver Maria recommended. He will go out of his way to see you happy. His prices are very good. He was waiting at the airport for us. It's nice to go to a new place and someone is waiting to take care of you. And of course knew exactly where the apt was. (300 pesos) I could go longer on why we appreciated him...
I hope this helps. And yes, we would stay there again. I recommend it!
This apartment is wonderful! It is spacious, comfortable. It has plenty of 3-prong outlets for our electronics. The washer/dryer work great -- and fast! The location is perfect. We ate in a different restaurant every night, all within a block or two of the apartment. The driver Maria set us up with -- Antonio Amador -- was absolutely great. He was always there on time and was very personable. He took us everywhere! We felt very safe in the neighborhood and apartment and with Antonio, even though there were demonstrations during the time we were there. I would definitely stay here again!
Can I just say Location? This fabulously roomy apartment with all the comforts of home is located so central to so many wonderful areas of interest. Whether you are interested in walking downstairs to the El Mexicano Restaurant where they make the salsa fresh at your table to the Zocalo or the Museum of Anthropology everything is in walking distance. If you don't feel like walking the bus to the Zocalo is on the corner. On top of all this, the owner introduced us to Antonio, who not only picked us up and took us to the airport at very awful hours, he also took us to the pyramids and at a moment's notice to Coyoacan - Frida Kahlo's house. Warm, and genuine, Antonio helped make this trip amazing!
The apartment itself is very spacious, very clean, and very homey. The neighbors are all very nice and friendly. The kitchen is equipped for any home cooking you care to do and the supermarket is less than a half mile away while the convenience store is right around the corner. The beds are very comfortable. The dresses roomy and it even comes with a washing machine.
Right across the way is a tiny little bakery that opens at 9 am that makes delicious buttery pastries.
All in all this was a marvelous place in a huge city that made us feel like we were part of a neighborhood. We would stay here again if we were to return to Mexico City and I highly recommend it
I spent a week exploring Mexico City while staying in this amazing apartment. The apartment is exactly as portrayed in the photos on the website, if not even better. The place is HUGE, very modern, clean, and in a great, convenient location. I was able to walk to many places, including Chapultepec Park and even the zocalo, and access to the subway system was easy and cheap (only 5 pesos). Also, if one prefers buses, they are plentiful, just a little more confusing to figure out. Many different restaurants are nearby, but the apartment has a complete kitchen with all needed utensils if one wanted to eat some meals there instead of going out for every meal. Maria was easy to work with and always quick to respond to any questions, and Marco, the property manager, was available as well. I used their driver Antonio to pick me up and take me to the airport---what a great guy! Isaias, the on-site building manager, was very nice and helpful, too. If one is visiting Mexico City, whether alone or up to four people, this apartment is perfect and a reasonable price.
Everything about our stay in this lovely apartment was perfect! Maria was always a pleasure to deal with, and her property manager Marco was prompt, professional and helpful. We appreciated the central location (bars and restaurants only steps away!), the cleanliness, and the modern design of this charming place. I was especially taken with the stunning photography on the walls! The beds and linen were very high quality, the furniture throughout comfortable, and the lighting very well placed, and all machines operated perfectly. I am recommending this apartment to everyone! Thank you, Maria.
Our neighborhood has a European feel to it as it is surrounded by a large variety of restaurants, cafes, delis, an art house theater, a cinema, and many boutiques for your enjoyment. Our apartment is located in Colonia Cuauhtémoc, an ideal starting point to explore Mexico City since it's walking distance to historical, cultural and popular locations around the city. Our place is a couple of blocks from the grandiose landmarks of The Angel of Independence and The Diana Fountain on Reforma Avenue. We are walking distance to the Anthropology Museum, the Contemporary Art Museum, the Rufino Tamayo Museum, and Chapultepec Park as well as the Historical Centro, which includes the Theater of Fine Arts (Bellas Artes), the Zocalo, and multiple museums and iconic restaurants. There are buses that constantly run along Reforma Ave that will take you directly to any of these sites in less 20 minutes. Other popular neighborhoods such as Condesa, Roma, and Polanco are walking distance or a short bus ride away from our place. We are a few blocks from La Zona Rosa where you will find many galleries, antique shops, and shopping during the day and bars and night clubs at night.
If you are in Mexico City on business, our location is also optimal since we are walking distance to many embassies (American, British, Japanese, and Colombian), the Mexican headquarters of HSBC, and American Express, American Airlines, Continental and many other important businesses. Most importantly, since we are centrally located you won’t spend hours in traffic traveling from one part of the city to the other.
