SEION 5 STAR RESORT TROPICAL SANCTUARY SEION

Port Douglas House Rental Photos and Description

Villa within a resort, 3 Bedrooms, 3.5 Baths (Sleeps 6)

Architecturally designed for all your senses, you will feel Seion’s subtle energy and swim in its natural beauty. The fragrance of plumeria floats on the light breeze - through soaring pavilions, into a private courtyard and over the lillipad dotted lakes. Seion, literally, rejuvenation of the body through returning oneself to nature, is a boutique sanctuary of exclusive villas set amongst 15 hectares of gardens in Australia’s tropical north.

Perfect your swing at the private golf hole, have a workout in the gym, or unwind with a few laps in the 30m resort pool. For something more relaxing, disappear in the pages of a book or indulge in a soothing massage or facial in the privacy of your own villa, the resort is luxurious and intensely private. A short stroll takes you to the coconut fringed sands of Four Mile Beach - and leads all the way to the chic village of Port Douglas where the region’s famous cuisine, culture and character awaits. Seion is our luxurious sanctuary within the gated estate in Port Douglas. Seion part of the most luxurious resort in Queensland and probably Australia. Warning: You may not want to leave your sanctuary. This property is GENUINELY run by the Owner and you will have personal friendly attention.

Seion sits next to a virgin rainforest enveloping a pristine rainforest lake. Within our village is a resort pool, gym, tennis courts and an upscale restaurant. Resort facilities include an exclusive wellness centre and a business centre. You may book a massage within your personal villa or in the spa centre itself.

Next door to the village is the Habitat Bird and wildlife Park. The Concierge can organize a trip to the Barrier Reef, a trip to the famous Daintree World Heritage rainforest, Mossman Gorge areas of Aboriginal art hideaways and numerous other tours.

We live in Sydney. Going to Port Douglas is such a different world from the normal urban environment. There is nothing like Port Douglas in Australia or probably the States. It is very secluded, almost zero traffic and no lines for any amenities. The scenery and birdlife/wildlife is abundant. This is the frontier in a tropical sense.

Bruce Gold purchased this house in 2008

We still have every conceivable luxury within a hot and humid climate with a plunge pool a general pool a spa bath and all luxury amenities. We have a golf cart to move around the resort and travel to the beach, the gardens are superb and luxuriant. We love the outdoor shower, the bandicoots and green frogs that march in to say 'hello'.

This is a unique environment with sophisticated entertainment and connectivity, the perfect temperatures for most of the year and the hospitality of the locals ensure a memorable experience. The restaurants range from casual to exotic to formal.

Australian vacation was perfect

  • 5 of 5
The tropical sanctuary in Port Douglas was a perect 10. Our family with a 11 yr old son and 14 year old daughter have not traveled much internationally and found Australia to be the vacation of a life time. Seion was well apppointed with the whole family liking different things. Birds came right onto the deck for a visit and we all made use of the lovely day bed & pool right outside the villa in the backyard. My Hubby enjoyed the easy access wi-fi and flat screen TV's. I was equally impressed with all the people we met in Australia that were friendly, helpful and above all else genuine. We felt safe and catered to, by the staff. We spent our time taking an easy walk to 4 Mile Beach or a quick drive to the center of Port Douglas. I would move Australia to the top of your "bucket list" and know that this lovely 3 bedroom villa exceeded my expectations.

Beautiful, luxury accommodation in Port Douglas

  • 5 of 5
We stayed in this gorgeous villa for 5 nights, and wished we could have stayed longer. An internal courtyard with pond and covered walkways linked the 3 bedrooms and the main open plan living area and kitchen. The living area had high, raked ceilings and huge sliding glass doors opening it right up to the backyard and plunge pool. The sliding mechanism on the doors was a little bit tricky, but we managed to figure it out.The plunge pool in the backyard has a massive daybed and looked out into rainforest. It was very private, and we were certainly happy that we chose this villa instead of one that overlooks, and is overlooked by, the common grounds of the resort. It was so lovely sitting in the plunge pool drinking wine. Everything is so green and the gardens were just beautiful.

For a proper swim, we were able to use the large pool in the main resort area - a gorgeous infinity pool surrounded by lily ponds. We were lucky enough to have it to ourselves on a couple of occasions. We also enjoyed playing tennis at the resort and were able to borrow rackets and balls from the resort concierge. We found the resort staff very helpful if we needed ideas for things to do and places to eat.

We ate out a couple of nights at a some of pd's great restaurants, but as we enjoyed being at the house so much, mostly ate in. The modern kitchen was very well equipped - even had miele appliances. The villa also has its own bbq and laundry facilities, a bose sound system, and air conditioning throughout. Our main bedroom had a wonderful, large ensuite, and access to an outdoor shower.

The resort, where the villa is located (Peppers Bale), is just across the road from a little providore style cafe called Otz, where we enjoyed some yummy breakfasts and prob the best coffee tin pd. The villa is also just a short walk to 4 mile beach. Apart from eating and drinking a lot, we also toured the daintree (Tony's Tours), did some fantastic snorkelling at the great barrier reef, and went to the pd markets. The resort is about a 5 minute drive from town, so it is necessary to hire a car, but we found this essential so we could visit tourist attractions, and drive from Cairns airport. Having been burnt in the past by other "luxury resorts", which were a far cry from being luxurious, it was great to stay somewhere that delivered what it advertised. We highly recommend this property for a romantic getaway, but would also be great for three couples or a small family.

First class Hideaway

  • 5 of 5
We have stayed at this accommodation on two occasions and both times we had a wonderful time.
We found it a quiet retreat in a beautiful, tropical setting.
The standard of accommodation was first class topped off by our own plunge pool with a day bed for relaxing.
Inside the complex we enjoyed the marvelouse outdoor pool, great restaurant and gymnasium.
We did not play, but the golf course was right at our door.
The nearby restaurants and shops were great with a shuttle bus in operation if you need to venture further.
To share with family or friends we think this is a great place to stay and very good value.
