This charming, well equipped and tastefully decorated 2 bedroom condo with water views is pool-side and a quick walk to the town of Vineyard Haven, the ferry terminal, beaches, tennis courts and parks. Enjoy the sites, entertainment, art or beaches of Martha's Vineyard from this centrally located condo or enjoy grilling, entertaining or just relaxing at the pool. Amenities include all kitchen appliances, washer & dryer, grill, cable, internet, a pool with surrounding terrace and landscaped garden and yard with picnic tables.
This place is nice a quiet, perfect for young kids. Close from down town so it's easy to move around the island if you are thinking on using public transportation. The place is a little outdated and the beds are uncomfortable to sleep in but it was ok. The washer didn't work while we were there but there is a Comunity laundry room so that wasn't a big problem. Just the furniture should be all change for better ones !
We had a lovely time in Martha Vineyard and part of this was because the accommodation was so lovely. The condo was as described and very pleasant to stay in. While there are signs of wear and tear, I think you would expect that from a rental accommodation and it certainly didnt impact our stay. The condo has everything you would possibly need, including a washer and a dryer ( we were a family of 4 with an 18 months toddler travelling from abroad) and is super comfortable. The only thing that's missing is picnic stuff. We, for obvious reasons, couldn't bring that with us, and it would be nice to have a few tupperware boxed, cool box and maybe a few beach toys...but this is a mother talking!
It is really well situated, we didn't have a car and just hired bikes and while we didn't the whole island, we had plenty of stuff to see and do to keep us busy. We went to Oak Bluffs and Edgartown and I would say Vineyard Haven where the condo is the best of the 3 and a lovely little town. The pool is fab to have and right on the condo doorstep (super handy for napping toddlers) although they had to close it for 24 h when we were there which was a bit annoying. The hot water cut out, which again was annoying given the small children situation, but nothing to do with the condo itself as our neighbors also were cut off and Dylan was helpful.
The ambiance is lovely and everyone was super friendly. It was a perfect family place with no noise at night and no one going crazy. It's really well located and you can walk to the grocery store, ferry, restaurants and shops which are lovely. We did have to cycle to sample the amazing doughnuts from Back Door doughnuts in Oak Bluffs but that was probably a good thing! Also of note, it's a dry town and while you can drink in restaurants, you cant buy alcohol. Again, probably not a bad thing we had to earn our drink!! We went to the Black Dog tavern which many say is super touristy, but being tourists, it was fine with us and the lobster roll was amazing. Overall, really really nice and I am so pleased this is where we ended up for our stay in the island.
Very happy with my 1 week stay at this condo.
We try to make an annual visit to MV and will definitely use this condo again !
Vineyard Haven is the perfect town for a family and this comfortable condo is an affordable way to enjoy Martha's Vineyard. The pool is perfect to entertain the kids after a long day at the beach. The condo is clean, comfortable, and cozy. We plan to make it part of our annual tradition.
A very clean, comfortable, well maintained and artistically decorated condo made our vacation at Martha's Vineyard a good one. The listing description regarding the location, and amenities was accurate. The owner's guidelines and information were very helpful. We explored a couple of beaches: South beach with very high tide and fun to watch; and State beach with calm water and swimmable. The sunset by the Gay Head Cliff at Aquinnah was quite scenic. The Mytoi Japanese Gardens at Chappaquiddick island were memorable and worth the visit.
Listing was accurate and exactly what we needed. Great location, walked down to center of town every morning for coffee and didn't have to worry about parking. Having a condo compared to hotel or inn is so much better in my opinion, plenty of space to make your own meals or unwind at the pool. Owner had excellent notes where to find everything to make things easy including WIFI which was a bonus. Having a pool was so great, not a bad idea to bring some pool floaties for added relaxation and my wife was 7 months pregnant and found them as a must have every day! Very clean and owner reached out a few days prior to our arrival to make sure we had any questions and how to contact them. One suggestion if you're traveling in the busy summer months, make sure you book your ferry reservation early (a few months minimum if you're taking a car) that is. Otherwise you may get stuck arriving a day or two early without a place to stay.
